This is going to be a pretty interesting log entry. I haven't done one of these in a good long while. Thought I might as well start now. Three years...three years serving under the Templars. I've got to say...I've not felt this good since Iraq.

I'm having some down time; thought I'd spend the month with my niece and nephew here in Spokane before I get called back down for my next mission in D.C. *chuckles* I tell you, that kid of my sister's has quite an interesting little mind. He's been busy watching these shows like Future Weapons, and keeps talking about this 'Youtuber' called...what'd he call him...First Person Shooter Russian or something like that. While I don't think those shows are necessarily for kids his age to watch, they've been giving me some ideas on what to add to my armory...

After my last mission I know I'm going to need some more reliable guns. I can't just keep relying on assault weapons anymore. In Inferis, I've got the strength of a 2 ton Bison and should be hefting these guns like they were pistols...but I keep instinctively having to hold them with two hands, and that gets to be an issue. Sure, when dealing with these things at range that's no problem, but not all of these monsters fight 'fair.' I had to pull out my claymore to kill off a weird bug-thing that tried to go for my throat. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it just goes to show that I need a gun that can free up my sword-arm...that, or a bayonet that I can attach to my M16 without worring about it affecting the accuracy of the weapon.

What I need is something that can pull off a bit more than an assault weapon; something that I can hold easily with one hand without feeling like I'm doing some kind of weapons' sacrilege. It needs to be able to fend off enemies at long range though still pack a punch up close. I need to be able to hold it on one hand...but I don't want a submachine gun. I need something that can hold more clips...something bigger.

My nephew's having me try out a new game he's got tomorrow; something called Space Marine. It's not the first time something of his inspired me...maybe, by God's good grace, I'll come up with something...until then, I guess that's it. Happy Halloween...
