Warhammer 40K - Space Marine Chapters

I wanted to show off the custom color scheme/fluff for my Warhammer 40K Space Marine Chapters I want to start painting (once I eventually get the models anyway). Since I'm normally the only one on the creative corner at the moment I encourage any other Warhammer fans to let us all know about their own custom chapters and maybe show us some pictures. I myself used the Bolter and Chainsword's custom Space Marine color generator for these guys. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think...

The Shield Bearers Chapter was built in answer to the heinous misuse of Gene Seed performed during the 21st Cursed Founding. Commissioned by the Salamanders during the late 40th Millennium, the Shield Bearers Space Marines were made to become one of the pivotal Space Marine Chapters as a sort of penance to the creation of the Black Dragons Chapter, rumored to being made from Salamanders Gene Seed. To ensure that the Gene Seed was kept from being forcibly tampered and the Marines made follow strict protocol and proper training, five Space Marines among the Salamanders Chapter were chosen to safeguard the Gene Seed on Mars and enact as the first ever Space Marines of said chapter, known from then on as the Founding Five. They have accomplished their job to the letter, though the new chapter would never cross paths with the Salamanders for many decades after their founding. The Chapter was sent to safeguard a Relic World and its system on the farthest edge of the Segmentum Obscurus, likely an act of vengeance the High Lords of Terra and the Adeptus Mechanicus performed on the Salamanders for their very sudden demands.

The Shield Bearers specialize in attrition warfare and in defensive and close-quarters tactics, relying upon infantry and ancient but effective wargear. Having been assigned to safeguard a relic world, many of the items in the chapter's armory date back from the time of the Horus Heresy and have been used to great effect against those that attempt to raid the planets they watch over. At the same time much of their wargear is sacred and kept carefully monitored and protected, and often they are forced to rely upon newer and less reliable wargear out of apprehension that the relics could become lost. Many pieces of wargear are only seen on the event of a devastatingly real threat against either the Relic World or the Imperium as a whole (such as the Third War of Armageddon) and have not seen battle since that one use.
