PERSONAL DETAILS

DESCRIPTION:
6'6" (198cm) and 213 lbs (97kg), Joshua stands taller than most folk. He's a more slender fellow, but is bulky where it counts, and he is paler than most as well, but still not a ghostly white. His hair is jet black and his eyes are a sort of neon lime green. His eyes seem to glow when you look directly at them. They glow in an intimidating "I can and will rip your knee caps out of your legs if you dare cross me" sort of way. At first glance, a person who knows their shit would be able to tell that he's not the kind of person you ever take lightly. He gets the nickname Kuroshiro (lit. Black-and-white) because he is often seen wearing black and white, usually black jeans and white shoes and shirt. He wears his hair... he just wears it. He doesn't do anything with his hair.

He has no wardrobe change when he travels to Inferis.

PERSONALITY:
Quiet, cold and kind. That sums up Joshua in three words, but there's a lot more to him than some overused anime personality. He's a very curious fellow, sometimes awkwardly so. Though it's uncommon for him to be looking over a person's shoulder like a kitten, he does look over shoulders every now and then, interested in what a stranger is doing.

Joshua isn't the kind of person to get chummy with anyone really. That said, he's not so anti-social as to never make friends or be friendly to some people. He may seem a bit quiet and possibly a bit annoying in a "stop ignoring me" sort of way, but he'll actually converse more with people who seem trustworthy enough. Getting on Joshua's good side is easier if you're a woman.

Joshua isn't fond of Demons and Ritualists. He'd rather kill both, despite knowing most Ritualists aren't willingly summoning demons. He would rather do that, but he won't. He's not the kind of guy who would kill someone for being controlled, but he doesn't have to like the guy. He doesn't care much for Templars, and has no knowledge of Angels.

If enraged, Joshua will probably hide it. You won't even know he's mad until he's ripped your kneecaps out of your legs. Well he wont go that far, but his outward personality doesn't change much when he's angry, aside from maybe becoming a little quieter. He's good at dealing with stress subtly and unnoticed. He often just eats and then works out when he's stressed out in some way.

But that's a totally different story when in the one who has pissed him off is a demon. Joshua would be dead set on killing it, sometimes in fits a rage so severe that he'd be totally unaware if his body had been broken. Obviously he'd notice if he were killed, but stuff deep gashes on his arm would go unnoticed until he's either beaten into immobility, or the demon is dead.

He acts no differently in Inferis.

HISTORY:
Born in Berlin, Germany and raised in Osaka, Japan, Joshua came from a family of Demon Hunters. They knew about Demons, and Evocations and Templars and Angels and all of that. They knew about it all, to an extent, and made sure their children knew. Most in his family never got the chance to go to school, but living expenses needed to be paid somehow. Out of the three children, Joshua was chosen to be the next Demon Hunter in the family, so he was pulled out of school after grade school. Obediently, Joshua went with his father to wear the hell ever and learned to fight. He learned the family's kick-based martial art that has never been given a name, and he learned advance survival skills, and he went through pretty intense muscle and stamina training. It took all of 5 years to do it, yet he'd never stop practicing and training. 15 and unknowing of his own age, Joshua returned to Japan. He assumed he'd been gone three years, but never brought it up, so he was never corrected, so he doesn't know his own age to this day.

Upon returning to Osaka, Joshua was then taken by his mother to Tokyo. There he learned not only English, but also Latin. He also learned what his mother knew about Demons, Inferis and Demon Hunters, as well as Templars. Also while they were there, they had a few months worth of a vacation. When he returned to Osaka, Joshua was fluent in his native languages as well as English and Latin.

The next seven years, Joshua was home-schooled So that he could have basic book-smarts. His parents didn't want to just send Joshua back into school, because it would have been way out of his comfort zone. They thought that by keeping him at home, comfortable, he'd learn more. And they were right, Joshua probably would have ignored the teacher often staring out into space, and teased by the other kids for not knowing how to math properly. They also took the time to, both his mother and father, teach Joshua to speak in tongues. They both taught him together because they thought it was a difficult language to learn.

In the year 2012, in the month of January, Joshua showed up at his parent's home in Osaka. He found a note saying that the two were heading into Inferis and not to follow. The note was written in English and didn't have either parents' handwriting on it. There was also a small amount of blood on the floor and gashes in the wall in their bedroom. On the second floor, there was a larger amount of blood on the floor that lead to the bathroom. The door was slightly open. As Joshua pushed the door open completely, he knew he wanted to shut it, but he knew he couldn't forget the gashes in his older brother's chest as he laid in the bath. It was Joshua's gut feeling that a Demon did this, but there was no proof. Could have been a sword wielding maniac or Wolverine on meth for all he knew, but Josh needed someone to blame, and the Demon's are taking it.

Right now, Joshua is looking for a tear, so he can get into Inferis and wreak all the havoc he wants on the Demon world. He's going to turn Hell into Hell.

Fit - Joshua is very fit and can easily outrun most people.
Unnamed Martial Art - Joshua was taught an unnamed (and unknown) martial art as a child, which he has mastered and perfected in use today.
Survival - Joshua was taught to fend for himself at a young age, and is a very experienced camper.
Tactical Training - Since he was little, Joshua had been taught to be tactical adversary as well as one that could kick ass. He often trapped his surroundings before sleeping.
Quick Learner - It's easy for Joshua to understand things when he tries them hands-on.

INFERIS SKILLS:
Body strength - After passing into Inferis, Joshua's body gets a strength boost, allowing him to hit harder, carry more, jump higher, and run faster.
Reflexes - Joshua's senses seem to sense more than they do in Real-World, upgrading his reflexes a bit.
Acrobat - Joshua can move more freely than he could in Real-World, as if his body is as light as a feather.

WEAKNESSES:
People person - Joshua rarely speaks to those who are unknown, unless it's necessary. This trait is preventing him from getting a decent paying job.
Demons - His extreme hate for demons might just lead to his downfall.
Low finances - Due to his inability to get a decent job, as well as his travelling, Joshua is almost always broke and hungry. When he needs food, he'll get some sort of easy job that pays enough for a meal and maybe some other jobs for other luxuries. Occasionally, he can call his sister and ask her to wire some cash, but that's about it.
