A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
Old Strip Joint
Regal Necropolis Proper
February 2nd, 2012
The air was oddly still about the streets of Regal Necropolis despite how the dim light and subtle cries continued to tinge the air. It was never truly silent there, but it certainly also wasn't a booming bass filled club (except for during Blood Storms). It was a quiet "night," or as much as one could call it a night. At this particular moment, Ceri and Lilith were taking some time in the Demon's home realm of Inferis so that she could really stretch her wings. After all, being cooped up in a humans body for so long posed rather... obnoxious side-effects. Namely Lilith getting grumpy and less pleased with Ceri despite how she did like the girl. "Are you positive it was wise to bed that man? You know he wasn't alone." Lilith asked the human girl, glancing about the mood lights and population of the modest version of her hosts place of employment on earth.
Ceri rolled her eyes, shrugging lightly as she scratched the horns coming out of her head, hair hanging straight about her shoulders. Oh yes, she looked VERY different from her human appearance (or as some would have believed so. Personally she didn't really give a damn). Her now pointed ears twitched slightly at the sounds of demon chatter all about them, one of those long pointed nails tapping against their table as they sat there. She did not seem to care how her... "outfit" as we'll call it, drew eyes, nor of the fact that some seem perplexed at the fact that Lilith was sitting with a mere human in the bar. "Why not? He didn't try to do anything violent to us. I thought you were enjoying his roughness as well." She pointed out with a smirk, cracking her neck as she adjusted to her bodies change. At least she hadn't morphed with Lilith otherwise she'd be having to deal with wings and that, while fun, would make remaining her a little awkward. At least for her since she wasn't used to having to adjust for the space of them. Lilith merely chuckled and licked her lips, running a hand through her red hair as she stared at her demon-fied host. "A fair point."
And yet Ceri's face resumed its distant expression, staring at some of the Succubi dancing on the poles. "I'm surprised none of the demons here have managed to possess any of the men upstairs. They'd probably get more fun out of it." Lilith scoffed in amusement at the comment, shaking her head as her wings drew closer to her body. "No." She answered simply, flicking away a Cultist of Mammon that was drawing too close. She wasn't sure how... comfortable she felt being in that Archdemons realm. There wasn't much she could do about it though. Ceri raised an eyebrow as she looked towards her bound companion, "They would be far more restricted there. And besides.... your customers aren't corrupt enough." Now it was Ceri's turn to laugh and shake her head, those long blonde locks swishing from side to side. "Surprisingly so. Should we head back soon, do you think?" She asked her companion, personally wondering if she would run into anyone as interesting as Jean this particular night.

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
Ah, London. A grim place in reality. The tall olden style buildings mostly painted a dull and outdated shade of grey or brick red. It was also usually cloaked in rain, as it was this particular night. And did it pour. The beating rain was almost unbearable as the harsh winds added to it, making items such as umbrellas relatively useless. Even the most frequent London-ers were inside on this particular night, or at the very least taking cover under the crowded and gloomy structures of Britain's finest city.
Except for one girl. Her deep purple hair soaked from the torrential storm and clothes drenched a shade darker, one girl simply walked through the rain. She paid no mind to shield herself or take cover, simply walking the sidewalk with her head down and eye focused on the cement. Right, eye. Almost soulless in appearance it was. She would occasionally lift her covered socket to ring out the pool of water that was constantly forming under there. An annoying inconvenience, but so was life in itself, so what did it matter.
Even if nothing mattered, her standard issue boots were getting full of water, and that made it difficult to walk. And truth was, she couldn't take shelter, at least not in the district that she was in. it was London's club district, and our unfortunate protagonist was only but seventeen, a measly year shy of being able to enter these establishments. it just seemed that luck wasn't on her side today...unless.
Looking up to the sky for the first time, the teenager took a deep breath as if it were her last, and then she let the flames at her feet engulf her, before they burned her entire form into ash. And just like that, the gloomy club in front of her turned into a hellish version of what it once was. The neon signs changed from naked women to naked demons, presumably succubi, as did the doors, and every the doorman. No longer a bulked up security guard, the bouncer was now an intimidating hooved demon at least three or four times bigger than it's Earth counterpart. It was actually a younger and tame Taurus Demon, outfitted with a pair of broken up shades to complete the civilized look.
These details weren't the only to change as the entire city of London seemed to burn in the now deep red skies of what was known as Inferis. Even the purple haired girl's shadow began to twist and contort as it took a physical form, arising from the group like the dead from their graves. The creature was made of shadows and smoke, not taking a solid form, as if it were ever able to. They only things that were stable were it's clawed arms and harrowing red eyes. The monster quickly formed a mouth on it's once blank face, as if it couldn't wait to speak. "Inferis, man, really?" While it's voice echoed in a eerie manner, it still had a level of humanity to it. How ironic for a demon that was never once mortal. "I hate Inferis! I hate it! Why are we here?!" The teenaged girl simply let out a sigh, finally releasing the deep breath she had taken earlier. She mumbled something to this pestering shadow, but it was too quiet for the beast to hear. "What? Dammit, Kerry, speak up!" The demon pestered further, clearly annoying the mortal, and clearly not giving a shit. With a sharp turn, the one-eyed female stared down the demon before clearing her throat.
"To take shelter." Three words said with the thickest Irish accent one could stand to hear while still be able to somewhat understand what the hell she was saying. With a heel turn just as sharp as the first, Kerry stormed through the doors of the fallen strip club, paying no mind to the bouncer. If he wanted to kill her, he would, no big deal really. It would probably be doing her a favor. The demon formed from her shadow followed suit, not bothering to respond to her, as he now had greater interests. Or rather, a single one:
Strippers.
As the shadowy mass floated to make his round trying to get lucky with the host of succubi and an empty pocket, his companion promptly headed towards the bar, sitting two seats down from a couple of scanty dressed succubi. The Ritualist ordered a drink from the demonic tender, simply requesting something strong and cold. The finely dressed hellspawn laughed at the second word and served her a room temperature glass of a mysterious spirits, likely something poisonous or otherwise. Plugging her nose, she took this glass and swallowed the contents in one swig, slamming it on the table afterwards. the room span a little bit, but she wasn't dead. Damn, lucked out again.
At this point, the demon made it's way towards the Irish woman, failing to make any advances due to his monetary issue...and general appearance. The smog monster formed next to the two succubi near Kerry, focusing on the red-head, completely unaware that it happened to be Lilith, which would make the next series of events rather embarrassing.
"Heeeey there," he spoke in what was his attempt at a (hardly) alluring voice, "I can show you a whole new meaning of darkness baby, if you're lookin' to get lucky." A badly attempted line full of lame puns, he was fully confident in his abilities to pick up chicks. Hearing this line, Kerry nonchalantly lifted her finger, signaling for another shot in preparation for what was bound to come.
She took the shot. The room spun. Damn, again.

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
The Mother of the Succubi stared with some disinterest at them, frowning at the sight of those big melons for breasts that they had, suddenly rather aware of how small she was compared to most of the female demons that were there. "Possible. Though I'm still debating if I'd like to take a short flight." Lilith answered her host whom had glanced towards the door when it had opened. It appeared that another Ritualist had entered. Ceri raised a single eyebrow when she glanced over the girl, wondering at how old she might be before returning to her own drink and consequently also ignoring some of the fallen soldiers that were eyeing her up. Ugh. Lilith could fuck them if she wanted to, Ceri would much prefer a human man thank you VERY much. Then she didn't have to worry about odd or potentially spiky dicks that were rather... damaging for someone like her. But nonetheless, the other human girl walked over to the bar while the pair took the final hits of their respective drinks.
Or did until a voice began talking. "Heeeey there," Liliths wings paused as they had begun to unfold a little, turning to face the source of the voice. Oh. A bit of smog. Joy. Ceri's lips grew tight as she stared at the smokey form, and yet Lilith only gave a coy little smile. Her host was well aware of what was going through her mind. What a fucking idiot. "I can show you a whole new meaning of darkness baby, if you're lookin' to get lucky." Ceri just hung her head and shook it once, walking over to the bar with a single raised finger for another shot of the Barghests Tears. She didn't even look at the other human girl who seemed to be partially struggling with her drinks. "A real winner, isn't he. I'm sorry." She spoke quietly as Lilith turned to face the amorphous demon. She smiled sweetly to him and leaned a little into him. "Oh really? Is that a fact?" There was a definite shift and swell of power in the room as those pretty red eyes almost seemed to glow as she bore into him. Her arm snaked around his apparent shoulder, hair falling in front of her face a little more as she tilted her head.
Her smile twisted into a smirk, "You couldn't show me a single thing that I haven't already seen from any sort of demon on this plain. I bet its as boring as Adam's dick was." She hissed at him, the pull of her gaze intensifying as she stroked at the mass of shadow. Her voice was like sweet, smooth caramel, "Now why don't you go swimming in one of those shot glasses and never show your face to me again. Sound good sweetie?" Ceri glanced back to her demonic partner as an extra shotglass was produced, her perfect little hand picking up her fresh glass. "You clearly don't recognize Lilith, sugar. Too bad." She spoke quietly with a light sigh, her own voice silky smooth as the glasses contents emptied.

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
"Oh really? Is that a fact?" With a wide toothy grin, the shadow replied sharply yet smoothly. "Oh, it is." Hook line and sinker. he had this in the bag. Damn, she was even going as far to touch him! Well as much as somebody could touch something that wasn't exactly a solid or a liquid, but a gas. He wasn't even sure how he was going to pull off the deed once he got that far, mostly because he had never gotten that far, but he'd worry about that later. "You couldn't show me a single thing that I haven't already seen from any sort of demon on this plain. I bet its as boring as Adam's dick was." The succubus grew an arrogant smirk upon her face as she rattled off these words, each one hitting the bottom of the demon's stomach. Damn, that was pretty harsh. Before Ginxx could get in any sort of rebuttual, he was finished off with another strand of hurtful words, "Now why don't you go swimming in one of those shot glasses and never show your face to me again. Sound good sweetie?"
The demon cleared his shadowy throat after the peanut gallery told him who he was dealing with, "Lilis? Never heard of you, I thought you were just a common whor-" "Pardon him." He purposely spoke her name incorrectly and was sharpy interrupted by his shell's heavily accented voice. The smaller and lesser developed women approached the pair of apparent succubi as the shadowy mass moved behind her. "Look, we're not here to cause any shit." The Ritualist added on, a strange statement to be made in Inferis. She ran a couple of her small fingers through her dyed hair, pushing it out of her face. Succubi...not something she had encountered before, honestly, but the teenager tried to play it cool. She had to play it cool. These demons could probably rip her heart out in a second, or some shit. They were nasty creatures no matter their appearance.
"Oh so you're in control now?" The shadowy mass that was Kerry's bonded demon slithered in front of the petite girl once more, confronting Lilith. "I wasn't finished with this walking pair of tits, Ker." The demon spoke as the single eyed girl attempted to intervene once more. Unable to physically move Ginxx due to his gas like nature, the teenager found herself frustrated at the whole situation. She just wanted to sneak into the club and get out of the ran, not start a fight with a fucking killer prostitute. "Don't start any shit, Ginxx. it's two against one and you'll get fucked up." The Ritualist remarked, trying to demoralize her own bonded 'partner'. It was obvious that this wasn't a very stable bonding compared to most and that there was still a fight for control going on. The ghastly demon scoffed, but backed off, returning to his position behind the Irish born human. Sitting back down, her single eye turned to the second horned demon opposite of Lilith. "Truly, pardon that."

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
"Oh, it is." Ceri could only stare ahead at the wall with utter disinterest, managing to somehow keep her head shaking within her own mind. "Lilis? Never heard of you, I thought you were just a common whor-" Lilith didn't even bat an eyelash, continuing to stare at him with that calm coolness that had purveyed her before. Ceri, on the other hand, turned her head slightly at those words. Did he seriously want the rest of the succubi there to try and rip him to shreds? Did he want her to pop out MORE of them to help the rest? What a fucking idiot. "Pardon him." Her body turned fully now as the younger woman beside her spoke again, picking up her glass as she moved to stand behind (and slightly in front of) Lilith. She knew that the Queen of the Succubi wasn't going to start a fight, that wasn't her way, but still.... She already knew how her anger and annoyance was beginning to flare up. "Look, we're not here to cause any shit." The succubi were watching as they danced on stage, the wariness clear in their eyes. They were just waiting for Lilith to give any sort of signal.
"Wise words." She commented softly, her eyes immediately narrowing as the shadowy demon spoke again. "Oh so you're in control now?" His mass slithered forward towards Lilith who only began to smirk, touching a hand onto Ceri's shoulder. Maybe we should show him a good time hm Ceri? Shit, she seriously wanted to morph? She was thinking about it? Fuck no. "I wasn't finished with this walking pair of tits, Ker." .....Fuck. Liliths wings flapped slightly, but her expression did not change. "I can see how you just win ALL the ladies!" She spoke, Ceri shooting her a look as this "Ker" spoke back. "Don't start any shit, Ginxx. it's two against one and you'll get fucked up." So the demons name was Ginxx. Both Ceri and Lilith made a mental note for later. Clearly these two were never really... on the best of terms, huh?
"Truly, pardon that." Ker looked back at them as Ceri nodded her head once. "Of course." "Fighting is so boring anyways." Ceri raised an eyebrow as she looked at her demon, shaking her head once with a light sigh, taking another sip of her drink. "So how in the world did this idiot end up with a girl like you?" Lilith asked, not even giving a damn what his reaction might be as she smiled a rather genuine smile at the intelligent human.

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
"So how in the world did this idiot end up with a girl like you?" The shade scoffed at this comment, but held his tongue, having interfered enough. Well, at least enough for this particular point in time. New opportunities were always on the rise, and this mass kept his soulless eyes upon them. That at the succubi's breasts. Maybe he didn't know when to let up. Regardless, it was rather hard to tell what he was looking at, as what would be called his eyes was little more than a pair of empty sockets fueled by a dim white light. What a grim thing it was, most likely formed in the Enclaves, as most things there were of his nature. Creepy shits.
"Not really a long story." The teenager spoke as if she wanted to say as few words as possible, condensing her accented sentences to quiet spoken fragments. She signaled for yet another drink, as for whatever reason this demonic piss just wasn't cutting the chase. It lacked flavor, and the potency of it was probably like...not even seven percent. "Right, well, basically I wanted better luck." The bartender brought the purple haired Ritualist her request, yet another foul green shot. "So I summoned this demon." The pale liquid slid down her throat, finishing a third ineffective drink. This Inferis bar wasn't going to entertain for much longer, not like this.
"Safe to say it didn't turn out as expected, as nothing does." The cynical Ritualist said before sending the demonic bartender away, which drew the attention of a couple unruly, and probably drunk, demons. The alcohols in hell likely worked differently than on Earth, hence it's strange effects. "Hey, I know it's not much better up there, but it's pretty shitty down here." Kerry said after a few moments of silence, taking notice of some of the less friendly denizens rising from their seats. Inferis really wasn't a fun place to be.

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
Ceri only briefly glanced towards the shade at his scoffing, Lilith completely ignoring him. It truly was as if he didn't exist in her vision in the slightest. Both women, however, did completely ignore how he seemed to keep staring at one particular feature upon their bodies because really? Who gave a shit when in Inferis. Flesh was flesh, and it counted for so little in this realm of debauchery and death. "Not really a long story." The human girl's brows furrowed, wondering why she spoke so shortly. It wasn't like her accent was terribly hard to understand, not when she was used to running into it at least five times on a daily basis. And it wasn't like she really seemed to give a shit about telling such information, unless she for some reason did. It didn't match the personality set. Whatever. "Right, well, basically I wanted better luck." Lilith's eyebrows raised as she scoffed once, Ceri only sipping at her drink slowly while watching the girl. Her expression didn't change in the slightest. "So I summoned this demon." Lilith, again, did not even look in the creatures direction, her wings opening slightly as the amusement was growing on her features. "Safe to say it didn't turn out as expected, as nothing does."
A laugh shot through the club like a knife, and that laugh was Lilith's as her little body wracked itself with her almost exuberant amusement. "Oh dearie you were so far off...How unfortunate!!!" The laugh subsided into giggles before finally silence while Ceri merely shook her head at her demons reaction. And just as suddenly as the laugh happened, Lilith was calm and collected, staring with those red eyes at Kerry, "Perhaps in the future you will upgrade your conditions." Sapphire eyes slid over to her as she narrowed them slightly. She was sensing the growing tension in the bar, and the demoness wasn't helping herself in the slightest. It was also as if a particular presence was very aware that they were within its domain and it was almost... unsettling. "Hey, I know it's not much better up there, but it's pretty shitty down here." "Don't encourage them." Ceri whispered quietly as she felt that oppressive force of something staring pointedly at that building with a fiery stare, her body tense as she clutched her drink hard.
Lilith, on the other hand, had lost all expression as she turned to the other patrons slowly, her wings suddenly snapping close to her body. Her daughters wordlessly approached her from the stage and stood before their little group protectively. But the mother.... She began to smile. "You all have bigger things to worry about, don't you? After all, Mammon is a whimsical mistress and who knows when she might want to let her Barghests hunt. Why not turn away now, hm?" What made it eerie was how they all did, the first wife of Adam spinning about to smile charmingly to the Ritualist group. "Now then, where were we?" "Lilith, we really should probably--" "Hush Ceri! We will leave once we've overstayed our welcome and I wasn't done talking to this one yet." Ceri shifted uncomfortably and frowned, downing the rest of her drink before slamming it down on the counter. The other Succubi remained standing about them with their backs to them, watching the patrons warily. "Would you chance another bonding? What price would you be willing to pay, and for what? Do tell me for I am most curious."

Re: A Pairing of Names [Ceri/Kerry]
The erotic dancers upon the steel, well, was it really steel? Inferis had a funny way of having strange and particular metals that were most unknown to mankind. Point taken, they were poles nevertheless, and the leggy demons descended from them and formed a sort of not-so-hippie circle around the "party". The ink's hallow eyes shifted furiously back and forth. Damn, that's a whole lot of ass. Their apparent mother fluttered her lengthy wings, causing the shade's form to flicker a tad, as if he were about to blow away in the wind entirely.
"You all have bigger things to worry about, don't you? After all, Mammon is a whimsical mistress and who knows when she might want to let her Barghests hunt. Why not turn away now, hm?" Mammon. Archdemons. Right, them. They were scary, the shadow guessed, but he'd never personally encountered one. THAT HE KNEW OF. He had spent a lot of time in the Enclaves, and Legion is known to take many forms, so the possibility of them meeting was there, but he was personally still not aware of it. Said creeping demons were obstructed by the taller-than-her succubi, slightly irritating the Ritualist. These things were probably just as likely to turn around and rip her guts out, or some gruesome Satanic shit like that, demons were weird. It seemed she wasn't the only one with a less than perfect bond as the Lilith duo bickered for a moment, before Kerry found herself attracting the attention of said succubus once more. "Would you chance another bonding? What price would you be willing to pay, and for what? Do tell me for I am most curious."
Another bonding? Two demons? That was madness, well, at this point in time it sure was. "And have my head explode?" The shadow let out a silent chuckle. "Right, there's still the matter of the shitty tap and the horrible music here." The purple haired teenager continued on, changing the subject back to her original interest of returning to the mortal plane. Ritualism. It wasn't exactly her favorite topic of small talk. It was a source of power, not a religion, at least to this one in particular. It sure had it's flaws, but everything did, and it would just be a manner of work arounds and shortcuts, eventually things would be smooth. Safe to say, bottom line, she was no fanatic.
"So yeah, if you don't mind me." Her accent rang in a delighted tone, different from before, but was just a charade of sarcasm. Ginxx, the demon of fortune or misfortune or whatever he claimed he was or what he actually was, turned focus to his shell with a toothy smile. "About time." A ghostly voice rang out in demonic tongues rather than English from the monster, something that gave it an almost uneasy vibe, were it not for his personality. Kerry waved lightheartedly to the succubus, and whenever she and her shell followed suit or not, became engulfed in flames not a way different from earlier, and vanished into thin air. Boy, didn't demons wish they could do that.
