NAME:
Thousands of ideas and theories as to this man's real name and identity have been posed. Not one yet has checked all the boxes due to his nature as a true snake, an invisible man. A living legend. A ghost. 'The Employer'.

AGE:
Reported to be old, so much so that the skin hangs from him. Adversely also reported to be young, and spry, not a day past eighteen. Once more reported to be immortal. Though all of these are reputable.

GENDER:
Heavily presumed to be male, and the dossier will identify him as such, but The Employer's being female is a fact that hasn't yet been rejected completely.

NATIONALITY:
Many times has the question been asked; for through the voice filter he utilises none can truly discern an ever-shifting accent. One day one man may perceive it as Russian; just as another may as English. The truth of the matter is that the Employer's nationality has not even been confirmed as being human: some claim he is a demi-god, or an "ascended" mortal.

BIRTHPLACE:
Some say he was born many years ago in the heart of the Spirelands amidst a mound of corpses, a clean, untouched, human child. Others say that he is reborn every day in the altars of Shambhala, though they do not clarify whether this is biologically or spiritually. Realistically: reports and rumours say many a different thing. None can be proved or clarified.

PERSONAL DETAILS

DESCRIPTION:
How do you describe a man with no name? No face? No hair, eyes, ears, or nose? His mannerisms are cold and callous, and he communicates only by way of proxy, usually by a number. Computers carried by a mute and suit-clad consultant who doesn't so much as open his mouth. A different one for every meeting. Phonecalls, isolated, ran through cover systems, and with a voice distorted. Perfect calligraphy, italic and flowing across old, stained parchment. The Employer is only truly "described" through the ways he communicates - and even these shed nothing but the fact that he is one thing above all else: clean.

The voice he uses can be fast, slow, or a mixture of the two. It can carry serious weight or gravity, or an almost menial and pleasant tone to it. But this should never be taken as the man's actual voice; he contorts and distorts it through a vast slew of computer programs. It's presumed The Employer is highly educated, and thus usually takes to formal garb. This isn't taken as fact, however, just presumption; the best way to identify The Employer is through those around him. Firefly's Inner Circle is HIS child, and it belongs to him. So judge not for his mannerisms: but instead look to his subordinates.

His logo is simple. Black and white. Blank background. A single letter from an archaic serif font he uses to represent everything that he is, everything that he has been: the perfect transmission of such an efficient message: E. What it stands for? Only the Devil knows.

PERSONALITY:
How does The Employer think? Work? What do the inner, true mechanisms of his brain look like to the naked eye? So many would kill to find out, and yet none have ever truly seen. The Employer is known to be cold and heartless, and also flexible; he can switch, contort, and change to a situation so quickly that it's ridiculous. As a bottom line, he realises he can never use too many proxies to keep anyone from uncovering his identity, and, so, lays them on rather thick.

He deals ideally through a number of different interwoven proxies, and through each, his mannerisms are astoundingly similar. In spoken word and written word, his speech patterns can be analysed as being nearly identical, suggesting that the Employer is highly educated, or has a disorder which would cause his concentration in this matter to increase tremendously - such as autism. This, of course, is thus far unconfirmed, and it's just as such believed the opposite; that The Employer is entirely normal and simply in possession of genius-level intellect.

He seemingly has no qualms or limits; even genocide and ethnic cleansing won't raise his figurative eyebrows - presuming he has any. On the whole, data on the Employer is far too scarce to truly compile a personality or psychological profile, so the bottom line is this: stay well away unless you have to. And if you do have to, for the love of god, don't try to piss him off. The man seems to be thoroughly intelligent and sees others as transparent, being able to oft read them like books - this may, however, come from an extensive network of contacts and simply be an illusion crafted to further his reputation as a mystical, ascendant being - the author of this dossier believes he is just as human as everyone else.

HISTORY:
How was the Employer's childhood? How did he grow up? What caused him to turn into such a horrific specimen of the human race, what caused him to become how he is today?

No-one entirely knows. The incidents that the Employer is supposedly involved in trail back to the early 1600s, with theories posed about his being responsible for the Second Black Plague, and the Great Fire of London. These are highly deniable, and mainly conjecture, alongside the claims of assassinations of monarchs trailing back to the twelfth century that he was supposedly responsible.

However, to what the main body of this section is about: no-one knows when the Employer's life began, and even he has no idea when it will end, though, hopefully, for all the law enforcement agencies in the world, it's soon. A date stricken from any ledgers or records marks the founding of Firefly: and as far back as any of these millionaires who call themselves members of the synonymous "Inner Circle" recall? He has lead it.

Ever since then Firefly's efforts have been only to, with the gains - ill-gotten or otherwise - of its unscrupulous members, to delve into the taboo. Inner Circle meetings are those of cultist carnality; displayed only with a wealth and breadth of nude, stunningly beautiful women tending to the every need of these pigs that from behind a cold glass computer screen an entity watches on. They open the books; the bloody Necronomicons they call "bibles" and read through for ancient tales of witches and forgotten orders of black magic.

To them this voodoo is real: they practice it for a lack of restraint, an entire bank of collective resource, and no more drive than a fully morbid curiosity fueled by the macabre desires of the human race: to truly uncover the secrets of what this alternate dimension has created, to step into flame and smell the burning flesh that is the Devil's work.

Some of what Firefly does is purely genuine. But what truly stands out is that it is not discriminate in its membership; an equal-opportunity society of curious disgust. Some of its members are veterans of the utterly abhorrent; criminals, murderers, embezzlers, the fraudulent, the torturous, the hateful. You know the kind. Those who watch from afar with a weary look on their face for what they have seen; for it has not only been utterly damaging to others - but it has chipped away at their own humanity, completely self-degrading: until there is nothing left.

From there on out, things have been simple. The Syndicate is wholly unofficial, and thanks to the amount of plausible deniability The Employer retains, is major conjecture at the current moment in time, but this dossier is a compilation of the most prominent theories on the Employer's origin, personality, psychology, appearance, modus operandi...

For one purpose, and one purpose alone.

Eradicating him.

COLOURS:
> Though all passed through a voice filter and numerous proxies, the Employer speaks many languages. From informant observation, these are amongst but not limited to over one hundred separate dialects and versions of speech for all his clients. However, more often than not, these are simple greetings; though impeccable. And almost all business deals are conducted in a pure English (white).
