DESCRIPTION:
While Ymir generally exerts his own will in Inferis, choosing to walk beside Etreven as a separate entity, in situations of need they will merge as required.  Growing substantially in stature, Etreven takes on the spines and hulking aspects of his brutish demon, half of his body fading into a billowing cloud of shadow (a clear manifestation of the destruction and inner conflict of the dark, fractured man).  From the generally invisible (and long since healed) head wound he sustained at 27, the smoke mirrors a bullet trail.  The more of Ymir's essence has currently merged with Etreven, the more horrific the spiked protrusions (and the more substantial the shadow trail leaking behind him).  Whatever he may have worn before, he reverts to a set of ankle, wrist and neck bands of a dark onyx and silver, intricately carved with demonic sigils of binding (representing the binds holding Ymir prisoner) with little more than rags to cover his torso and groin.

SKILLS:
- May form potent blades of whatever requirement from a fusion of his flesh and hardened shadow.  These blades retain a living nervous-system like connection to both Etreven and the demon, the contact point acting like a connection to the nerves at that location (and ONLY that location). This allows the sharing of sensations like pain, cold, etc. making them exceedingly effective not just for combat but also torture, interrogation and (if required) physical intimacy.
- Enhanced physical endurance and toughness.  His strength becomes tied directly to Ymir himself, and much like other similar abilities is improved substantially the more of Ymir's essence is currently bonded to him.
- Smoke surrounding or inhaled by others can be extremely toxic and poisonous, being a personification of the primordial poison at the core of his demon.  This toxin can poison both the body and mind depending on the exertion of his will.

QUERY

For the first of the abilities, the blades, could you specify how strong the nervous connection is between him and his target? Does it focus on a particular location? Does it, or can it, be broken? It's just the tinniest bit too vague for me to feel comfortable.

I probably should have specified!

The contact point acts like a connection to the nerves at that location (and ONLY that location). This allows the sharing of sensations like pain, cold, etc. The idea is to give him a clear idea of how much damage each strike (or other activity...) was doing to the target and in what way they were reacting.
