The Longinus Redux is in itself dual-purpose, as it serves as a weapon and the trigger for all of Akrasiel's Gears.

OVERVIEW:
- Akrasiel thrusts his Longinus up to the sky; with a downward swipe upon a particular target, he calls down a shower of balls of white-hot cosmic flame - which are infact fragments of stars. Each hitting the ground generates a small shockwave, and they pepper the designated area with a rough circumference holding a radius of up to twenty metres, though it can be more concentrated. The stars themselves generate enough surface heat to scald right through all but the hardiest of tissues, and will create a concussive shockwave releasing even more upon contact with the ground itself.
Each particular star-esque fragment generates around 90mph in downwards velocity, which is more than enough to deal some real damage - and acts as if they possess the density of rock, when really all they are is simply balls of superheated cosmic energy. The deluge's duration is up to the Gear's user; though typically brief, no more than around ten or twenty seconds.
Starfall can also be used in a number of patterns - being the most basic and simple of Akrasiel's Gears - at the Archangel's discretion. Usually used to destroy entrenched or bunker positions, it can be utilised in a sort of directed strafing run in a straight line across a group of targets, or maybe to draw a circular pattern. It's used similar to an airstrike, and the stars themselves are controlled with such an impressive degree utilising the Longinus that it is as if there's actually someone above launching this celestial volley down from the skies of Inferis themselves.
- In a manner not dissimilar from Starfall, the way in which Meteor works is very much simple. However, unlike the previous ability, which has the potential for versatile use and to be applied rapidly in quick succession over and over, this ability holds more restrictions. In order for Akrasiel to summon the Meteor, he must temporarily sacrifice his Longinus, by either throwing or planting the blade of it into the ground, at which point it will begin to generate a fearsome heat around it to deter passers-by or adversaries from trying to wrench the blade free or break the attack.
Exactly fifteen seconds after the lance is planted in the ground, one will be able to hear the hiss of the single meteorite as it closes in. Thirty seconds exactly and it will make contact - typically being an even sphere of radius around two metres. Wreathed in flame, it decimates anything it touches until it reaches the hilt of the embedded Longinus - which itself shears through the asteroid explosively, splitting it into a number of superheated fragments of rock, anywhere from the formidable size of a boulder up to tiny shards of rock which serve as razor-sharp shrapnel. This "explosion" covers all three hundred and sixty degrees and will typically eliminate anything hostile located nearby.
Obviously, as the Longinus is sacrificed, it cannot be used whilst the Meteor is being called. After the attack it cools almost instantly, and Akrasiel can draw it from the ground: however, if a being of flame musters up courage enough to actually wrench the spear free in the slightest, the meteor will dissipate into a fine brown dust in the sky above and the attack will be nullified.
- Comet is an ability triggered in an identical manner to Meteor. Akrasiel's summoning Comet must stem from Longinus being planted in the ground. Again, it can be either actually physically planted or launched - either way is absolutely fine, but it will remain in the ground - or whatever substitute there is - for the duration of the assault. It will begin to generate an aura of formidable cold surrounding it, in the same manner Meteor does with heat, and will be painful if one lays their hands upon it.
Again, after fifteen seconds, the comet will be heard entering in from a cosmic orbit - after thirty, it will make contact with its epicentre where Longinus has been planted, identical to Meteor. The comet is marginally larger than its meteorite counterpart, at a radius of around two and a half metres, and generates a frigid cold which will freeze solid or shatter most lesser beings that it touches before reaching the embedded hilt of the Longinus, when - once more - it will detonate. But instead of super-heated shrapnel as shards of the comet flying out - infact, instead of shrapnel - a wave of freezing cold engulfs any non-Angelic beings nearby in a circle with a radius of thirty metres, again three hundred and sixty degrees. Anything caught in this will be frozen solid temporarily - and not killed - as will the ground, with a visible icy sheen covering the floor. This will melt after around two minutes - as will the frozen prison that covers any enemies rendered immobile by it, but they are vulnerable up to this time.
Again, the Longinus is registered useless until the Comet impacts; but after the Comet does land, it becomes immediately available for use again. Akrasiel must simply tug it from the ground. Creatures that can brave the icy haft of the lance to break the connection within the thirty seconds they have whilst the Comet is being summoned will cause it to shatter into a fine, powdery snowfall in mid-air.
- Twirling the Longinus as if it were a staff in a continual circular motion, Akrasiel summons from the heavens a mass of cosmic energy which seems to flow into one particular spot of his choice. No matter how much energy this epicentre absorbs it never gets bigger than a small glowing light the size of one's head, though it continues to, if looked at closely, turn over and over in itself.
The longer Akrasiel spins his lance for, the more power is generated and exerted by this; see, the focal point of cosmic energy, as it is being charged over and over to a point that the Archangel of Retribution considers "acceptable", creates a large electromagnetic field that will tug in - irrespective of whether it's Demonic, organic, or synthetic human in origin - all nearby metals towards it. Metallic creatures will be helplessly drawn in, weapons torn away, bullets fired through the field tugged down with a vicious force.
The longer and longer Akrasiel spins the lance, the stronger the field is and the larger it reaches in terms of radius. When Akrasiel ceases spinning, the field continues, but momentarily the rotation of the centre of energy - the so-called "Pulsar" - stops, and he slams Longinus into the ground, releasing an equalising burst of radioactive cosmic energy, scorching through and vaporising all but the hardiest of Demons caught within the true strength of the field, and dealing less and less damage the further back each target is. Those on the brink of the explosion will suffer short-term radiation poisoning, and can end up coughing up blood.
The maximum radius that the electromagnetic field - and thus the cosmic shockwave - can reach is twenty-five metres. Whatever the radius of the field is, the residual radiation will reach out to double it - so a fifty-metre radius radioactive field is the maximum of any can be left behind. The closer one gets to the epicentre, the stronger the radiation will get - as will the ash, for the detonation itself simply vaporises many material objects and targets unlucky enough to be caught within.
Additionally, all absorbed metal objects will be hurled outwards as shrapnel.
- Akrasiel's final ability, Zenith, begins with simply raising Longinus to the sky.
From there, if the sky is visible, directly above Akrasiel's position - and the position of, presumably, his targets - the sky will begin to split and swirl, creating a vortex-like illusion of energy in the sky, cloud-like forms swirling around one another in a whirlpool-type pattern. Over about thirty seconds this will increase - for those thirty-seconds, the Longinus must stay raised else the attack is cancelled - and then thick beam of cosmic light will reach down and strike any one target the Archangel chooses.
This beam of light does not fade; for it is not simply an orbital energy cannon, but it will suspend any one final target that it strikes, holding them against their will in a cylindrical prison of pure cosmic energy. It will hold them there as Akrasiel walks up to them and presses the Longinus against their forehead - and both the Archangel and his shackled target will relive all the greatest past travesties of the victim. Over and over again for what will feel like eons, the target will be lost in the most horrific moments of life - and unlife, if they're Demons - and all but the strongest beings of will reduced to sheer horror. For God is, and by extension, the Angelic Host are omniscient: they know. They know what you have done wrong.
Akrasiel typically elects some sort of judgemental speech; but the truth is, the matter of judge and jury does not fall within his realm. He is simply the executioner. Raising the Longinus one final time, he will strike it downwards - and then the pillar of cosmic energy will force its way through the body of the target, tearing through each individual molecule with a divine, cosmic penance, and completely wreathing the target in absolute pain. The greater their sins, the greater the pain.
Zenith's final phase will never kill an enemy: it will play back before their eyes the greatest and most horrific sins of their tenure either as human or human AND Demon, and then it will ripple their body with the strongest pain they can imagine, in a purgative manner, and will leave them utterly debilitated as the skies close back up. The amount of "penance" exacted and its intensity is directly proportional to the morality of the target; as a general rule, Demons are greatly affected by this, humans variably less so, and it cannot be used against Angels - it's not just impractical, a restriction has been imposed upon it so that the ability physically cannot be used.
The most abhorrent and evil of souls will be split in two and restitched together: but they will not die, they will simply be debilitated - so if the chance comes and it's called for - as sometimes Zenith may spurn on change in a target's soul, being just as much positive retribution, if not more, as negative - Akrasiel can deliver the last blow of holy retribution and smite down an enemy forever.
