DESCRIPTION:
Celestine is a young woman of relatively tall height, standing at about 184 centimeters with her weight being a closely guarded secret. Light of frame but with well toned muscles that make her form something to look, however, with breasts that are barely of average size (and seem smaller due to her height) the French is rather self conscious about her bust and somewhat envious of overly well endowed women. Her long hair is blond to the point that it appears platinum/white in color, reaches down to her neck and is often kept in a loose pony tail. The young woman spouts eyes of enchanting blue but her lips are thin and void of color making the slight smile she often spouts, as if constantly amused by a secret joke, seem less amiable but rather off putting.  (I know Lara is neither blond nor blue eyed, but my picture editing/finding skills are to weak!)

Chloe's skin is white, not quite a sickly pale but far from a healthy sun caused tan, and prone to sunburns. She spouts several tattoos: her family crest on the right wrist, a prayer in Spiran script on the right shoulder blade and an intricate, enigmatic pattern sketched by black ink on her right thigh. Furthermore there is a small ring drawn across her belly button and a small black butterfly can be found near her sex. The left ear is pierced twice, the right one thrice.

Clothe wise the woman prefers tall boots and hot pants as well as tank tops, however, for her upper body loose fitting jackets and hooded sweaters are often chosen for comfort. Once entering the demonic plane a change in outfit occurs and Du Lac finds herself dressed in knee high black boots, black hot pants, fingerless gloves and a long dark coat that has the Fleur de Lys woven in several places. The top varies from a simple shirt to a heavily adorned blouse.

PERSONALITY:
Celestine used to be a cheerful girl that liked to walk on the sunny side of life. She often was the center of attention, even cherished these moments when an audience has gathered, be it at school, private life or at her job. However, ever since demon hunting became her profession that changed and little remains of that joyous young woman. Instead it has been replaced by a psychotic figure that seems constantly on edge. Wrecked by the weight of her world the smile Chloe used to wear, and has charmed many people (men and women alike), has been distorted and replaced by a mask under which she hides her fear, insecurity and frustration. Du Lac is rarely seen without her lips curled upward, though the longer one looks the clearer it becomes that this is not an inviting sign but a slash of a smile that foreshadows unimaginable secrets. Due to her height the blonde has always been a focus point and even though she was often picked on during her childhood Du Lac developed into a real fighter (figuratively as well as literally, the girl has practiced a different martial art every five years since she was young, this was motivated by her father at first but became a passion on its own). Chloe sticks up for what she believes is right and is ready to stand her ground to defend those views.

Celestine has a passion and talent for music, preferring classic, techno and rock over all other genres though; she even plays the guitar and knows how to sing a little. Regarding her sexual preference the French counts herself as bi. Like any lady she would love to be swooned off her feet by a prince, yet those are strangely intimated by her – lesbians on the other hand seem to easily take a liking to the tall blonde and before she ends up lonely, Du Lac goes for the tender meat. She loves to touch and cuddle, simply lacking love, yet this can make things awkward quickly, especially when going to places where culture dictates everything but close body contact. This craving for love is created by the void inside and the feeling of dread looming over her shoulder. Other than that the female prefers take-charge women, despite being one herself she wouldn’t mind letting go of the lead for once. As a result of many brawls and devious encounters Celestine has come to enjoy pain; whether it’s being the victim of the strange stimulus or the inflictor, ever since she has come off age the lady has gathered experience in the SM community.

Though Chloe personally says her childhood could have been worse it left detrimental emotional scars, starting at bonding issues, a distinct feeling of having to achieve to be acknowledged and a gnawing loneliness. The reason she goes out a lot, meets new people on a daily basis and gets herself into trouble is merely so she doesn’t have to deal with herself and all the dead weight she carries (amongst other things her parents died when she was young leaving a disinterested aunt and aging servants to raise the heir of the Du Lac family).

Ever since Celestine was introduced to her hunter heritage she was preached to stay away from Templars. While their mission was similar their methods - and questionable interest in her kind - were not to be trusted and could only lead to misery and personal misfortune.

While the real world Celestine is a woman that doesn’t draw much attention, typically described as the ‘girl next door’ Chloe that enters Hell is much calmer and composed, displaying an almost cynical or sardonic smile at all times and puts mental distance between herself and the twisted plane (most likely to reserve some of her humanity while battling what is entirely inhuman). In Inferis Du Lac is much more brutal and less playful having fully realized that her life is on the line and while she enjoys to test her skills in the real world Dojo she does not pull any punches in Hell, well aware that they could be her last.


HISTORY:
Chloe grew up in a mansion in France as the daughter to a German diplomat and the French heiress to the name and fortune of the family Du Lac. For the first four years of her life everything was as happy as could be but tragedy quickly struck in form of a car accident that claimed both her parents on the way back from the airport. With the loss of mother and father an aristocratic aunt that had always blamed her sister for marrying a commoner officially was put in charge of the little girl and while love and kindness were lost words and concepts to her she at least cared decently for the offspring of her sister’s loins as she was sterile herself and well aware that the little one would once grow up to inherit fame and fortune. Surrounded by three servants Celestine made her way to adolescence. The aging butler and his wife tried their best to replace what had been cruelly taken but it came to no avail. The little Chloe that used to run across the garden with a wide smile on her face and not a care in the world was lost from the age of five onward, replaced by one who had aged beyond her years.

Seven years later the mansion near Lyon was attacked whilst Chloe was on a school trip to Dresden. The entire building was destroyed and what remained of her family lay dead in the ashes. Eyes wide with disbelief the pale girl stood in the rubble of what once had been her home. Officials told her that they suspected a gas leak; however, the sheer destruction called those statements lies. Powerless and devastated the girl sank to her knees until time became a meaningless concept. After what seemed like eons a man stepped into her life that provided absolution from apathy and provided purpose. “You are pathetic,” the white haired man with handsome features but indiscernible age proclaimed. “This estate is pathetic. This entire family was pathetic…but alas, I shall rebuild it…and you.”

Sebastian, so he called himself, introduced Chloe to the true fate of her makeshift family. The Du Lac were an old clan of demon hunters who had slowly forgotten about their ancient heritage until it was merely legend recorded in the family’s annals. Her mother was one to awaken her powers in her youth but once she had gotten to know Celestine’s father chosen to refrain from demon hunting in order to stay with her newly founded family. “How do you know all of that?” the little girl asked once. His blue eyes had been cold as ice: “Because I am her twin brother.” They had both awaken their potential at the same time yet where the sister shied away the brother embraced it until he stayed in Hell for longer and longer intervals until finally the family ostracized and erased him from the records – so he explained. “Alas,” Sebastian said: “I still owe Claire one thing…and that one thing will be you.”

Over the next decade the stoic warrior formed the little girl into a weapon. “You will be the heir to our family,” he proclaimed as he watched her: “You will be…my legacy.” Month turned into years and any sense of normality faded from Chloe’s existence, was replaced with a life that balanced between adhering the laws of the normal world – for sanity’s sake – and a constant strive in the other world. On her twenty-first birthday the pair ventured into the abyss once again to hunt but instead of their usual prey the woman stumbled into the lair of an elite demon way beyond her class. In a clash of willpower she battled the foe for her life and soul until it finally overwhelmed her, but before the final cut could be placed Sebastian stepped in to save her life - in exchange for his. With his last demon slain the man knelt in the hell that surrounded them, falling flat on his back as hot tears were shed by Chloe onto his face. She was losing her family. Again. His hand feebly reached upwards and there was an unknown sensation in the blue eyes she had come to read like a book over the years. The gloved fingers gently touched her cheek. “You,” Sebastian whispered and Chloe’s breath stopped. Were the words she had so desperately longed for her entire life finally on his lips? In a moment like this? In a place so absurd it should not be? “Are a disappointment.”

Barely a year has passed since then and Chloe keeps hunting, keeps coming back even though she would like nothing more than to stay away from it. In hell, blessed by strange powers, she felt safer than without them despite being closer to death’s door than ever. Or perhaps it was the feeling of proximity to Sebastian, the only family member she had truly gotten to know, that kept her coming back. The woman did not know, but she could tell it was driving her mad…

REAL-LIFE SKILLS:
Expert Martial Artist   - (Wing Chun, Arnis, Tai Chi, Savate) having trained from a young age the woman rose to prowess in four different styles and while she is by no means a master in any of them she is a force to be reckoned with and has been honed in many fights on the streets - and in hell.

Prodigious Athlete  - As one who trained in martial arts for the better part of her life it proved to be little effort to develop skills in this area.

Huntress  - After having endured rigorous training for a decade in the arts of demon hunting the woman spouts rudimentary knowledge of the most common demon types, their strength, weaknesses, how to track, banish, and heal wounds included.

Sixth Sense  - the 'Spider Sense'; having been tossed in a world so dangerous that even leaving your house can spell your death Celestine developed an intuition that works tirelessly to keep her alive. It materializes in a tingling feeling, alerting her to personal danger in proportion to the severity of that danger. For instance, a little tingling such as a happenstance passing by of an enemy would prompt Chloe to be alert, while a strong tingling, sometimes to the point of being painful, is interpreted as a need to take immediate evasive action on a deadly threat. Paired with her reflexes and martial training it often proves to be the reason why she is still breathing.

INFERIS SKILLS:
Expert épée combattant – Intrinsically Chloe grows knowledgeable of any and all kinds of blades weapons but prefers a Iado style when fighting.

Préconnaissance – Her Sixth Sense seems to grow honed even further and graces her with a reaction time that astonishes even the most seasoned veterans.

Amélioration – Speed, strength and durability are somewhat enhanced.


WEAKNESSES:
Paranoia  - slowly but surely the woman is developing a full blown case of paranoia. As her time as demon huntress grow in number one would expect her to become more comfortable with her existence, however, Chloe grows more anxious each day as it feels to her that with each passing into hell she draws the attention of more powerful foes. This sensation is only enhanced and fueled by her Sixth Sense that sends almost constantly signals through her body and mind.

Insomnia - as a result of her developing paranoia, as well as the fact of having to juggle two lives, the woman's sleep often falls short. Slowly but surely this is starting to take a toll on her.

An old wound  - a piece of a demonic sword is lodged in her chest and so far none of her, few, contacts have been able to remove it. It causes her pain and strain which is kept in check by the regular administration of a special draught. Slowly but surely she is growing addicted of said draught, having to take it more often and in increased dosages. Luckily enough she learned how to brew it herself.

PTSD - Developing a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - if you stare into the abyss long enough the abyss stares back at you...and Chloe seems to feel the constant predatorily presence drawing her closer to Inferis in order to have access to her more powerful abilities, but at the same time making her shy away from said place in order to lessen her chance of encountering demons. Needless to say it's breaking her.

+ Is her inferis skill of gaining intrinsic knowledge about blades, is that tied to her evocation as a Demon Hunter? It just feels a little bit... broad? Or general? Is it just on information about the blades, or specifically how to wield them? I guess I'm just seeking some clarification.
+ Also, just confirming that you are aware Iado is a form style, not a sparring style.

Honestly those are the only things that potentially bother me in the app. Otherwise its AWESOME! ^_^
