PERSONAL DETAILS

DEMON DESCRIPTION:
While The Monkey King definitely isn't the largest of Demons, standing at only 2'5'', he still comes off as fairly intimidating to most. To a large majority this is because his tail freaks them right the fuck out, but others know why exactly to fear him. When enraged, Saruo's messy, black hair stands on end, and his usually brown eyes become a piercing red almost as if all of the blood in his face were moving behind them. His usual teeth become fangs, and from that point... Well, while he still doesn't look too threatening (much like a pissed off monkey to be honest), his actions from that point are anything but normal.

Saruo usually wears traditional martial arts clothing, himself being a great inspiration behind the Chinese myths and legends of Son Goku. While most on Earth depict him as being more apelike, he really bears the facade of a sweet and noble child.

PERSONALITY:
You would think a Demon gifted with such amazing features that would allow him to trick the uncunning would enjoy making use of them. In truth, Saruo hates his size, wishing he were much larger. Yes, he can still punch through solid rock and kill and maim all the same, but he truly wishes for a more intimidating form like his father's. The kid has some serious daddy issues considering how long he's been slumbering, but, even though he has been away for so long, Saruo practically worships him.

He doesn't exactly take his position seriously at most times, finding the usual work of the Hellguard to be trivial and boring. Saruo would much rather be out killing worthy opponents, sent to smite entire villages, and/or returning from battle to a feast only kings enjoy. When he doesn't get these rigorous tasks or the food he so desires? He complains. He complains a lot. In fact, Lucifer allowed him to complain himself into a one hundred year slumber, so just from that you should be able to understand his dedication to being entertained and pleased.

The thing that Saruo would enjoy doing most, above all other things, is sleeping actually. While he is used to working hard for his father and, now, Lucifer, he is quite lazy. He gets it from his dad who spent most time lounging about his den of decadence, but his father never allowed him these pleasures. They became foreign to the monkey-tailed demon, but he has grown rather used to the concept after his deal with Lucifer was made.

HISTORY:
While Belphegor, the Great Slumberer, has always been known to be the most slothful of demons, he actually did manage the time to bear a few demon offspring. One of these, the eldest, was Saruo. Born so small, but with strength so large, Belphegor helped his son to see the ways of the Hell Princes, and instilled in him a deep hatred for God and his angelic host. While the boy did not grow as he'd hoped, he did become as ruthless as intended. The first memory to truly register and stick with the Monkey King was one of shedding blood.

For centuries he was sent to do his father's work for him. Any and all who spoke against Belphegor would feel the might of his seed, and this struck fear in all those who lied beneath them in the Chasm below. The Archdemon needn't even lift a finger, as his devoted son would most always already be in line to execute any and all of those who dared rise against him. This time. It was good in their sphere. The Entropic Chasm was a known power to be feared, and Lucifer saw it as more than a place to keep up with from time to time.

That is, until Belphegor began his great slumber. It did not take long for word to spread, and soon there were many a rebellion and attempted coup launched. Saruo was the only one who remained standing by his father on these days, but he spilled the blood of all who challenged him to battle. Once the time came that Lucifer would take position as the sphere's overseer, the spawn of sloth was highly commemorated for his deeds. He was named the Chief of the Hellguards, elite soldiers in Lucifer's personal army, second only to Abaddon in this group.

This was a decision Lucifer soon regretted. All the impish powerhouse ever thought of was war, killing, maiming, eating, and sleeping. While he did have appreciation for the first three, the latter two were greatly annoying, but there was only so much killing that could meet Saruo's standards. He wanted challenges, like he used to have, but, sadly, there were none to provide that would be acceptable.

Saruo grew tired of waiting and opted to take the same route as his father. He informed Lucifer that he would sleep for one hundred years, and he was not to be awoken until then. Lucifer agreed, and the deal was made. A hundred years' rest, after which he would have no slumber for some time after. The Monkey King quickly made preparations for this nap, very excited to know what sort of battles awaited him after.

SKILLS:
- [COLOSSAL STRENGTH]: Saruo is able to punch through solid rock, as well as lift things weighing upwards of five tons.
- [SMALL, AGILE]: With his small stature he is able to easily dodge attacks aplenty.
- [WARMONGER]: Saruo is an excellent commander, and there are few who could claim to match his wit or ferocity in the heat of battle.
- [SLUMBER BOOST]: Being the offspring of Belphegor doesn't necessarily limit his traits of sloth to being negative. The longer Saruo remains asleep, the stronger he will be once he awakes.
- [THE IMMOVABLE]: If Saruo so chooses that he does not want to be moved, it takes a great deal of strength to budge him. This skill is quickly dampened by the weakness that lies in his tail though.

WEAKNESSES:
- [LAZY LAZY LAZY]: He refuses to do much else but fight, and even then it's only with those he feels worthy to face one-on-one. The only way he will fight those he knows to be weaker than himself is to put them into a group and watch the slaughterfest begin.
- [DON'T GRAB THE TAIL]: If Saruo's tail is grabbed, he is rendered completely immobile. Many bets have been made, however, and no one has ever accomplished this feat.
- [SALT]: While it won't cause him to melt like a slug or anything, Saruo cannot enter through any doorway with salt lining its frame.
- [JADE]: If anything constructed of jade touches Saruo's skin, he will lose his immense strength as long as it is remains in contact.
- [SLEEP REQUIRED]: If Saruo goes more than 10 hours without sleeping, the power of his apparatuses are halved. If he remains awake for more than 20 hours, his apparatuses' power is lowered to a quarter. So on and so forth.
