OVERVIEW:
- Taking the form of a daito katana, Honō no hajimari is exactly as it is named. The first spark he felt as a Demon Hunter within his soul that erupted into the first flame Cael would find himself consumed in. It erupts from his forearm in a cloud of flames when he summons it, appearing near instantaneously within his hand.Though it appears to be a standard sword once used by samurai of legend, this katana will not break under any force. This does not mean, however, that it can cut through anything. With training, Cael has learned to cut through mostly wood, but in Inferis he could cleave stone in two with this blade. With deadly precision and a calm mind, a true warrior can make anything a reality, and that is what this sword represents to Cael. Just as easily as the katana is summoned, it can be dispersed back into the spirit energy it is constructed from, meaning Cael has no need for a sheath to end his stances.

- A second spark was felt within Cael after his meeting with Alex Stone. At first not knowing its origins, he eventually deduced that the feeling of of having an ally in the heat of battle had awoken something new within his soul. With this newly unlocked gate, Cael is able to change the properties of his demon slaying blade in order to make it an even more deadly force. Lightning streaks across Honō no hajimari, transforming it from a mere sword to a weapon forged by the gods themselves. Espada del Relámpago, as he calls his sword's new form, is able to cleave through even steel, and anyone pierced by it (excluding those resistant to electricity in some way) will be paralyzed for a short time if they haven't died. (Only able to keep active for three posts a thread.)

- The third gate, unlocked at the same time as his second, allows Cael to move short distances (up to fifteen feet) in the blink of an eye. This helps the swordsman to disorient his opponents, if need be, as well as perform a new sword art, "Greater Zanmato". When he cuts through flesh with his weapon while performing a Flash Step, he is literally able to rip his opponent to shreds as quickly as he moves. (Only usable once every other post.)
