PERSONAL DETAILS

DESCRIPTION:
Sister Vetrov doesn't look like your typical nun. While she is almost always wearing the robes of her order and carrying a bible it is her body and face that seem to set her apart from her sisters. The most obvious detail that makes most people double take is the intricate cross tattooed on her right cheek. on hr left cheek sits three small scars that look like a close encounter with some kind of tiny bear. Other than her gaze is stern and almost always locked in a scowl. Other than her face her body is nothing like the cloistered sisters that she is always around. Katya has the trained body of a warrior. Strong arms and legs with a solid core give her a dominating and powerful posture and gait that says "Get out of my way." This is all, of course, countered by her rather smooth and light tone of voice. Seeming to be juxtaposed to her other physical traits her voice holds a warm and helpful tone to, exactly what one would expect from a sweet sister of the cloth. Katya's eyes are full of energy and seem to gleam like sapphires. One look into those joyous eyes might be enough to make a man curse the church for stealing away such a stunning woman.

When the sister goes to the realm of demons this all vanishes. Suddenly she is who she ought to be. Clad in high tech armor inlay-ed with holy symbols and insignia. The garb under her armor is a flowing battle robe of crimson and white. Trimmed in gold and embroidered with not only her holy symbols but also the honors she has received from her glorious service to the church. Her smooth voice turns to a conduit for holy prayers and chants long forgotten by those outside of the order. Weapons in hand and voice carrying battle hymns over the shouts of demons crushed under foot she fearlessly leads her brothers and sisters into battle, time and again.

PERSONALITY:
Katya has been a child of the cloth her whole life. She has lived the rigid structure of Mother Church and has never looked for anything else. She is a vessel of discipline and restraint. never has she strayed from her order's rules and never does she intend to. However, the Church accepts all those who will call to the Lord. She is highly tolerant of all faiths and walks of life. She judges not the sinner, for all men are sinners at heart. it is only through devotion and discipline that we take the path to Heaven and Katya has those traits in spades.

She is a natural leader, preferring to take charge of a situation instead of taking orders. this can put her at odds with other alpha dog types of personalities. this easily put to rest if another member of the Templars of higher rank issues an order though. Only when the chain of command is unclear does she tend to butt heads with people. In that same breath once Sister Vetrov undertakes something she sees it through. Better to die for God than live for yourself. She will lead a charge into the mouth of Hell without a second thought or moment of hesitation. If her death will help to protect the innocent or gain victory then she will gladly die. however, death for no reason is unacceptable. Never throw your life away to a demon unless that beast can be destroyed.

Other than violence against the forces of Infurnus Katya has no desire to fight. In the real world she is a pacifist nun who only lives to help the poor and preach to those willing to hear. her life is service to the Church and to live up the example of Jesus. Love thy neighbor and be kind and meek. these are things that the sister takes very seriously.

HISTORY:
All Templar warriors are experienced in combat. Every last one of them has an extensive record. This is no different for katya, however, she did not get her experiences from outside of the order. She was not chosen to be a protector of man, she was born to it. Both her father and mother were field agents for the Templar order when Katya was born. Knowing that a life of conflict was destined for their child they started her early. Immediately placed in the care of Mother Church and inducted into the secret order as a child Katya began to grow into what fate had decided she would be.

Her training in both the ways of the cloth and the sword began as just a girl. By the time she could read and write she was also proficient with a number of assault weapons and beginning to learn the finer details of melee combat. Katya was a student of a new school, the school of demonic combat. Never was she taught how to fight against the armies of man, instead, she trained exclusively to fight the Hell-spawn of the pit. Her parents and the Templars taught her the ways of war and the Sisterhood taught her about love, kindness, and service to God. In this she became a well rounded person. In the light of day she was a young sister of the church but by the light of hell fire she was a scout and harrier for the Templars. She was never allowed into direct conflict until she was eighteen but served as a supporting member for her father, mother, and any other Templar.

At eighteen she graduated though, she became a real field agent. She began to investigate by herself and fight the forces of hell where ever they might rear their heads. By this time she had poured over nearly every account of demonic combat and had read the official histories of the Order. The sister who was born into the fight began to live the fight. To her there was little else in the world aside from fighting the forces of evil and helping the good people of the world. Time after time she would beat back ritualists and the demon touched. Battles came and went and always Sister Vetrov prevailed.

Like all people who live in conflict her parents died. This was not a terrible thing though. they had both proven to be great warriors and died saving innocents from a psychotic and possessed ritualist. Their deaths only served to make Katya's resolve stronger. She began fighting harder. She began leading any charge she could. Her life was for God and his people, not her's.

Twenty years of service have distinguished Sister Vetrov and she wears every one of her commendations in gold on her armor when she fights the forces of evil. She wears them with pride and knows that such words strike fear into the hearts that claim to have no fear. Amen.
