The Life of a Cat
- Legions Current Form:
Washington D.C.
11:46 AM January 14
Outside Monica's Bistro
"Meow?"
The soft green eyes of the tabby cat fallowed the people as they walked by its perch high on a red brick wall. Its tail flicking back and forth to the beat of its tiny feline heart as it observed the every day goings on all about it. A soft purr could be heard coming from the beast and every once in a while someone would reach up and scratch the fat cats head as it lazed about in the sun. Its eyes closed then flicked open as the sound of birds could be heard over head, its eyes fallowed, watching them as they flew and landed on a nearby tree. Everything seemed normal on that bright sunny day.
Though none of these so called normal people knew that the cat they walked by on a daily basis was in fact inhabited by one of the princes of hell... Or at least part of one. Legion actually found the entire situation rather amusing, no one expects a cat to be evil oh no! If only they had some idea as to what We are... The thought made them laugh which came out as a rather odd purr from their cat body.
With a little sigh they stood, the orange and white fur of their body rippling with the motion. They stretched, claws digging into the soft stone of the wall they had been lounging on. Then with all the grace that their current body could manage they leaped from the wall and landed softly on the ground some feet below. Their little padded feet pitter padded away then, head swinging this way and that taking in all the sights and sounds of the capital city.
It was interesting, watching these people from the prospective of an animal. Never being suspected of anything more malicious then staining a carpet. It allowed for so much freedom, more so then any human like body could ever or would ever experience. That was half the reason they took on the forms of animals, the other half being that they actually enjoyed the feel of the animal bodies surrounding their essence. Though they would never admit that, it was far to demeaning.
Legion moved about the city looking for something or someone interesting to observe in the hopes of learning something new or at least relearning something uncommon. Though baring that, they could and would entertain them selves in other ways... Humans always acted odd when something out of the ordinary happened... And a demonic cat was at least that.

Re: The Life of a Cat
Panne was sitting by herself. It was a lonely day as usual. Her eyes stared blankly at the sky. Memories? There were none. Panne had nothing but her usual dull headache and a handful of blurry pictures playing through her mind. She was her, but at the same time, she was nothing. How could someone have lived and have nothing for it? Was she truly that much a nothing? Pathetic.
Lives shifted by her, people with names and places. Smiles. Jealousy ate at her stomach again. It was unfair, so tragic was the irony. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily, feeling the pain sink deeper... deeper still. Her head was void of anything but the gentle calls of shadows that she couldn't place. It was nothing to her. Her legs pulled up to her chest and she gave a shaky breath. She could breathe.. but there was nothing. It was as if even breathing hurt her in the center of her chest. The pain... it never went away and if she could truly feel, she might cry. Panne felt empty though, not a single tear could be shed.
She tore a piece of her beef jerky off and took a bite. It was all she wanted right now and all she had found. It tasted kind of stale, but the bag had just been opened. Maybe even taste to her was vanishing? Panne reached in her bag and pulled out the water. It was disgusting to her, but refreshing at the same time.
Soft sounds hit her ears and Panne turned her head like a frightened animal.. only to see an animal. A small cat orange and white was staring. At least cats weren't people.. they didn't care about past-less women. It was more of nature that she tore off a piece of the meat and offered it to the cat. Why shouldn't she offer something else something if they had probably nothing as well. He had no collar, so obviously, he had no home. "Here kitty." She clicked her tongue twice, as if that were a secret call for any feline. More it was just what she'd been used to.

Re: The Life of a Cat
Well this is a waste of time.. Legion moved about the streets in more or less a random manner. Now it wasn't that they had nothing better to do, it was more that they where already on it and the fraction of the endless beast that lived inside this cat. They let out a collective sigh and continued to pad about, head swinging this way and that. They would stop every once in a while to get a head scratch because... It just felt so good. It was one of the bonuses for being a cat, the simplest scratch behind the ears felts almost orgasmic.
Though there was a downside to that, they often found that they would start to act... Cute when they felt a need for a scratch. It was almost a drug to them at this point, and they often sought out the attentions of people just to feel it. The others knew of this, and they could often hear them laugh... If only because they where not in this same situation.
They wondered if today was to be another wasted day full of disappointment and the same tedium they had come to expect from this post. Then... They sensed something odd. A void almost, an empty host in need of filling. They wondered closer looking for the source of this empty feeling... And it was close so close. The cat jumped up onto the curb and found their furry face pointed right at the source of the unquiet, which happened to be a girl. "Merow?" They cocked their head and then walked forward at the girl offered them some jerky. They nibbled it then let out a rumbling purr before rubbing their body all over her legs. Food and am empty host? Seemed like today would not be too bad after all.

Re: The Life of a Cat
The cat seemed interested. It moved over towards her. Her dark eyes watched while the cat moved in and took a few nibbles of the food before it. The whiskers too felt almost pleasant. Strange tickling as the cat swallowed down the last bit of the jerky in her hand. Then it rubbed all along her legs. It was so odd to her. Why did cats do that? It was to mark territory, she knew, but it was always a better thought to think of them as being affectionate. Panne enjoyed the feeling, but a smile didn't form. She didn't know how to smile anymore; it hurt to and so she simply let out the softest chuckle and only a twitch of a smirk. What a sweet little innocent thing it was; oblivious to the toils of man.
Once the cat had finished rubbing, Panne slowly reached out and scooped the stray out. Sense told her it wasn't a good idea, because strays usually had fleas or disease, but what did she have to lose? The warmth of the cat and the tiny heartbeat was so close to her, she almost felt connected to the creature. Her hand moved and began to scratch lightly behind its ears, then rubbed her fingers all down the length of its body to its tail. After a few strokes, she began to scritch at the base of his tail. "Hello there, pretty kitty." She spoke softly to it, knowing the cat had sharper hearing and not wanting to scare it away. She also didn't want to look crazy by talking to a cat.

Re: The Life of a Cat
A deep rumble started to build in the orange and white cats chest as it was picked up by the all but unsuspecting girl. It was odd, how well Legion could fall into a role, how one moment it could be a demon whos lust for blood was only out shown by its need to inflict pain to a docile and loving kitten that only wanted to be held and loved like all cats truly do. Maybe it was part of its nature, but in the end it was something more then acting that made them what they where. It was an inborn spark that truly made them what ever they wished to be... If only for a short while. After all, a demon could only spend so much time being an adorable little critter before going stark raving mad.
The soft blue eyes of the cat looked up into the much larger humans orbs, a faint purr rumbling in its chest as it was held. Love me, hold me, let me comfort you. Those soft kitty eyes said all that and so much more as it probed this woman's mind, feeling the emptiness that resided there, the darkness that threatened to over whelm. The demons smiled at what they sensed know that given time it could worm its way in, expanding the dark thoughts and hidden desires tell they finally consumed this poor yet blessed woman.
Blessed if only because it was they, Legion that had found her. The others would have rushed the process, scarred this girl beyond any actual use... But not they... to them the corruption of others was a fine art. One that had to be taken slowly unless you wanted to lose the substance of the tool you wished to forge. At this their where none better or more suited to the task then they, after all... They had more experience then all the other Archdemons combined. So with soft gentle fingers of thought the demons reached out and stroked her mind, trying to sooth away any fear she might have felt at the time, and stress. After all who could feel stress when they had such a lovely bet to hold? It was almost unthinkable.

Re: The Life of a Cat
The strangest thing happened with cats. Simply petting them, allowed stress and wear to almost vanish. Panne stared hard at the beautiful being before and continued rubbing it. Symbiotic, she assumed. The more she pet the cat, the more she felt relaxed and the cat purred so pleasantly. She could do somethings right she supposed. AT least animals didn't hate the disgusting thing she was. In fact, it seemed rather pleased with her. She couldn't help but smile and scratch the feline all over, especially near the rear.
"You're a happy kitty, aren't you?" It was a rare instance when for only a brief second Panne smiled. The flicker of a grin was at her lips; despite how broken and shaky it was. Her lips hurt nearly instantly. It had been far too long since the last time she had done such a thing, yet here she was. "Lucky you. I can't help but imagine what it's like."
