Abilities: The Arcanists are the more sparsely-populated cabals of Inferis' elite and specialised operations. They typically carry grand lances forged in the depths of the Undercroft's smithies themselves, and are armoured in vicious yet elegantly-patterned metal from head to foot, not a single inch of skin on display. Some say that the Arcanists, much like many warrior-type Demons of the Undercroft, have had their bodies and their very essences grafted to their weapons and armour, hence why they cannot be removed.

The Arcanists are the staple battlemage units of Inferis' great humanoid legions. Whilst relatively defensible thanks to their armour, definitely not lacking in martial prowess considering that large dual-ended spear, and possessing a rather shocking extent of control over flames, they number few for a reason. Arcanists are dispatched as martial seek-and-destroy units, and whilst in one or two they can be felled after not too intense a battle, in packs of so much as four or five they are far more formidable and become a nuisance, especially for troops or opponents with little to no ranged capabilities or magical wards.

Arcanists are not classed as Elite due to the fact that alone they can be taken down with less hassle than one would preempt, as they are not fast, and usually rely on surprise to take down their enemies, but in groups, do not be fooled, they are formidable.

Miscellaneous Notes: - Typically dispatched in either pairs, threes, or fives.
- Said to have a tentative relationship to Beelzebub alongside their master Belial due to their pyrokinetic ability.
