DEMON DESCRIPTION:
Pupus' base form is actually a living, demonic heart within a protective cylinder. The casing is a tad bit less than a foot long, and six inches in diameter. Upon the cylinder's base is the Japanese kanji for "scorpion," fitting to his favored concealed weapon. Within the cylinder, the demon heart still pumps, even as blackened as it is now, and it thinks of its own accord without a body. Pupus can communicate with those who get close enough to it through telepathy, but most would rather keep the ghostly tendrils that leak from the odd cylinder away from them.

MORTAL DESCRIPTION:
This form is actually what mostly anyone sees when around Pupus. Due to his inability to actually transform into a mobile form of any sort, the demon... influenced some of the more lesser willed demons of the Tarpit Enclaves to construct him a body of his liking. Six feet tall, crimson hair, and golden eyes make up its most noticeable features. When not wearing a cloak, usually black in color, it is made quite obvious that his body is not natural. The creases where joints connect adorn his body, as well as a rather large hole where a stomach would be. Within this cavity there is a prominent length of cord, grey in color, but this is not the only weapon he hides beneath his clothing. There is also a fifth limb (not that you perv) which spans from his lower back, similar to a scorpion's tail in appearance and function.

PERSONALITY:
Pupus is, above all else, a brilliant mind geared towards constant progression. This partly has to do with the circumstances leading to his death as a human, not being able to live to see the completion of the great naval base of Athens. Now a demon with no body to actually call his own, he has grown to resent those fortunate enough to have their own hands to complete their work. Talking in an eerie monotone, nearly robotic, the pitch of his voice is oddly soothing, even to those just meeting the entity.

Pupus has no interest in the mortal realm, truth be told. He sees it as a plane of existence he has already been ripped from, and, therefor, he hardly ever takes any time out of his schedule to possess humans. Ritualists, however, he accepts with open arms when they tread into the Tarpit Enclaves. Especially if said humans and their demon partners can be of use to him. He usually sends them out to find materials he has need of if he himself is too busy to leave Legion's complex himself, and other times he asks them for a helping hand within the factories themselves.

His movements within his "possessed" puppet body are just as mechanical as his tongue, joints tending to creak as if rusting when he ventures outside of his homesphere. Because of this he usually brings along natural oils with which to lubricate his limbs, especially if heading out on a rather long trip.

HISTORY:
In 493 BC a Greek carpenter named Andreas was enlisted as a member of Themistocles' crew to construct the naval base at Piraes, the main port town of Athens. On the third day of construction, a wall that was built uneven collapsed, killing Andreas and two other men. The soul of Andreas passed into Inferis, where it was transformed into but an encased heart, housed within a section of the archdemon Legion's Miasmic Complex. The tar of the Enclaves blackened this heart over many years before it was finally discovered by a group of mindless drone workers.

His tendrils reached out to them, comforting voices and words of promise flowing into their very souls. Within a few days these creatures were under his own influence, and begun work on a body for their mysterious cylinder. After its completion they were told to insert the heart into the chest cavity of the puppet they had built. On that day, Andreas would be known as Pupus from then on. The Puppet Master. The Enslaving Heart.

Requesting council with Legion, he approached the archdemon with respect and asked if his new master would put his skills to use in constructing great weaponry for his army of demons, as well as expanding upon his already vast fortress. Accepted as a member of the Hell Princes' forces, Pupus enlisted the help of the mighty Gormadas in his new work. Cannons, explosives, weaponized toxins, shambling puppet soldiers, and new expanses within the Miasmic Complex were constructed under the Puppet Master's supervision and amazing craftsmanship. Legion's forces had grown tenfold within only a few years.

Curious as to the cause of this expansion in power and defenses, Lucifer paid a visit to the Complex's grounds. Legion being busy with his own maddening work, the first to report to the High King was Pupus. The great ruler of Inferis himself even seemed surprised that a mere heart could front such impressive construction. After this meeting, Pupus was left with his own sense of pride in his work, able to alert the attention of someone so powerful.

Now Pupus continues to work under Legion, overseeing the progress of his master's great factories. From time to time he ventures outside of his homesphere in order to do research, but only if the libraries aren't found to hold suitable information. The Enslaving Heart still awaits the day he can once more have council with Lucifer, and hopes to one day be of service to the dark lord himself.

SKILLS:

[MASTER CRAFTSMAN]: Pupus is an amazingly skilled carpenter and constructor of weaponry. Due to his presence within the Tarpit Enclaves, Legion's forces have grown at an amazing speed and continue to do so. This also has allowed him to build several replacement bodies for himself, just in case his current one ceases to function or is destroyed.

[POISON EXPERT]: The knowledge of a million poisons lies within the heart of Pupus, brought from the noxious fumes of the tar pits and their inhabitants. He concocts many a vile brew in his free time and constantly soaks his tail in them, making him a very deadly opponent in combat.

[HEART'S INFLUENCE]: If the tendrils of his heart reach out to demons of lesser willpower, Pupus is able to rouse them to do his bidding. This usually only works on those that have already had their will broken or those of far lesser intelligence (NPC Demons of Level 1 strength or lower). Anyone whom he is unable to sway, he is still able to telepathically communicate with when in close contact.

WEAKNESSES:

[SILVER]: Silver and weapons made of the metal are able to do far more damage to his puppet body, and if it touches his heart it would mean instant death.

[WATER]: While not particularly deadly to Pupus (he isn't technically able to drown), if he steps within or is doused with pure water he will be rendered immobile as well as unable to telepathically communicate.

[COMPASSION]: Pupus is unable to put anyone who shows him any form of sincere compassion or sympathy in danger, and is compelled to even put his own life on the line for them.

TRIVIA:

- His hair is actually a synthetic material that replicates the properties of calcium, allowing it to grow as if naturally.
- He currently has three extra bodies stored away which he built himself. His private quarters are littered with various parts from failed constructs. He doesn't throw them out due to being against wasting materials.
- Don't ask him his thoughts on The Black Sea or Stygian Tundra. He doesn't like thinking about water or, due to its relation, ice.

1] Heart's Influence - Minor problem with the wording. As is - this is Apparatus quality. If you want to make this firmly skill, just have it essentially equate to a supernatural charisma. If you still want to border a bit, just make sure that it's ONLY those who are of greatly lesser intelligence or have had their will broken - e.g. Demons otherwise considered below Level 1, or VERY weak Level 1s.
