Eventless nights. As usual. No signs of demons, aside from smaller ones. Once one had taken care of the aggressors however, most smaller creatures either retreated or became more cautios. Either way, the usual rule applied. Something about her affronted them. It was most likely her absence of heat, blood and other marks that made humans human. As usual, scepticism and fear arose from the lack of knowledge they seemed to possess. However, it made the assignment easier. Killing demons. Until a certain date that was... the number was irrelevant, yet the order had set a minimum for her.

Twenty... she should manage that at the very least. It was the usual minimum, a good number. Yet not what she had anticipated. However she was not in any position to complain, doubt or even ask why 10 and not 100. In the end only the assignment really mattered. The question remaining was... where was the partner assigned to her? He had not been at the designated MC, however her orders had been to only wait for six hours, before proceeding in the hunt on her own. Naturally it had made the decision very easy. Orders were orders afterall.

The cyborg just kept wandering around the area, with no real destination, as it´s dead eyes observed the area with machine-like precision. Her helmet covered her entire head, yet the artificial face, resembling her own, still used it´s artificial eyes, connected to her own prosthetis, in order to analyze her surroundings. The doll-face didn´t move an inch, as the woman kept her weapons ready for an encounter.

Her scanners could aid her, yet a surprise attack was evadable in most cases. All it demanded was an attentive observer. Flawless performance was an obligation, otherwise there´d be no purpose in her presence here. Yet... still... where was her superior? He shouldn´t have gone missing. At least by her knowledge, he was an experienced demon-hunter capable of taking down even battle hardened opponents. Yet this was just raw, theoretical information drawn from the orders archives. Battle-information could only be gained through combat. Yet she had always been good at saving this. Of course... it was what she was here for afterall. Wasn´t it?

Questions. Questions with no answers. Yet she could answer them once she found him. So her next assignment was easiy to figure out. Find the superior, receive further instructions and terminate demons on your way. Aside from having to locate her superior officer, it was no different from former assignments. Just a hunt as every other before. Yet maybe, remaining in one position for a bit longer, might enforce her superior to catch up to her, in case he had just missed the designated MC by a few minutes. So... waiting it was.

With all sensors active, Devotion stood still making a full check of her surroundings every few seconds, in order to determine the approach of demonic entities. She stood entirely straight however, and aside from her head when it checked her surroundings, her body remained entirely motionless, only hoolding the "Banshee" in an angle that would allow for immediate aim and fire. The same thing applied to "The Twins" which were folded into a single blade as usual. They were ready to be swung in the minimal amount of time she needed... and in case her checks were right... she should also be able to swing in angles dependant on the situation. All was set... now she could wait.

Indeed, it had been a while since Agent Alencar had been sent on patrol within Inferis. Still, he had no worry about it. His orders were to meet at the drop point, at which time the assembled team would look to kill twenty demons. Simple enough, though he was sure that in a day's time a full team of Templars would manage more than that. Well, if they took on the smaller demons of the Necropolis anyway.

Skipping along the charred pathways of London's sphere, Gabriel whistled a little tune as he looked for the others. He was briefed beforehand that a cyborg would be among their numbers, though he had yet to find them. Devotion. That was the name. Rather fitting, considering they worked for the Order and all. Eventually he stopped, nearly running into someone, or something. He could hear the sound of machinations in motion, though he couldn't be sure as to what kind.

"Excuuuuuse me~!" He gently moved himself around whoever it was, and quickly put on his sunglasses. Hopefully his suit wasn't too dirty, he'd just had it washed, but there was no telling what sort of grime he picked up around Inferis. "Devotion? Possibly? Confirmations are in order, considering my handicap."

The agent chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. Hopefully he wasn't trying to put on a conversation with some sort of construction machinery or something. It'd be the fifth time this week that happened, not that he was sent out looking for cyborgs all the time or anything. Anyway, he held out his hand as to shake theirs if they'd be so kind.

"Agent Alencar, at your service."

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Seishin Akanami Mon Sep 02, 2013 7:18 am

He looked about the landscape with a gaze of indifference. Remaining motionless, he remained crouched upon the top a flag pole missing its flapping colors. His posture was reminescent of a shinobi of old. His red haori jacket fluttered a little in the slight breeze along with his mess of a mane, his arms resting upon the top of his knees as he rolled his shoulders some. It had been over a week since that damn tournament injured him. But he was positive in his abilities this time. Not a single person would draw his blood without a fight. The others should be close. Rolling his neck, a soft popping was heard as he exhaled. He was to oversee a simple patrol, with a goal of twenty demons to be slain. He only knew of one person that would be there.

Seishin remembered reading over the dossier a while back on this person. Now that he thought about it, "person" was the wrong term. It was a cyborg, which made him scratch at the walls of his brain in curiosity. There would be others, so he would watch over them. This would be a test of efficiency. Leaning forward, he tumble forward to land softly on his feet. It was a courtyard, with a fountain that spewed what he could only guess was blood. With a soft grunt, he could only imagine how disgusting Mammon could look if the demon liked this kind of scenery. His feet echoed softly, the occasional pebble shifting under his feet. He could tell he was being stalked by demons the moment he entered this twisted place, but they did not dare to make a move. Seishin's kusarigama and bells around his waist jingled in unison with his steps.

He emerged from the courtyard to see the two people. One of them was awfully dressed to be in inferis, and the other just dumbfounded him. Was.. Was that a human?! Seishin kept his thoughts to himself, and emerged from the shadows he stood in, his arms hanging by his sides, the haori flowing behind him as he stopped a few meters away. He didn't speak first, as he just surveyed who they were, sizing them up. "Hn.. I will be overseeing your objective today, you two. I will only join if your lives are in grave danger."

He looked around him to the buildings as he took a seat before the two, as he crossed his arms, closing his eyes. He wanted to see how well they could accomplish the task at hand. Twenty was a very manageable goal. The only concern he had was with his own presence. He didn't want to attract any unruly beast that they couldn't handle. If it came to that, he would have to intervene.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

"Sir, you should really be in bed! You've got a week, two weeks, maybe, before you're completely healed!"

"I appreciate the sentiment, ma'am, but really, I'm fine; a bit of demon slaughter is exactly what my liver needs."

"It was demon-fighting that ruined your liver last time!"

"That was a ritualist. Completely different." It really didn't matter what the nurse said, as the Dutch Templar did some quick stretches in preparation for his first shift to Inferis in quite a while. In favor of not over-doing it, he was only bringing his cattle prod, though he planned to challenge several demons to a round of fisticuffs anyways. Real men don't need weapons to massacre demons.

So, even as the nurse threatened to call his doctor into the room, he gave a charming grin of mischief as he rolled his awesome fluffy dice in his hand, the car decoration acting as his crossgear. As he made the shift, he pocketed the device, and stepped forward, to find something to do. Hmmm... There were always good fights to have in the Necropolis.

And so he made his way there from the Spirelands, which was indeed a RATHER LONG WALK. But not THAT long. It was also uneventful, so hopefully something exciting would abound at his destination. Hopefully. Because despite his injuries, which were VERY heavy, he couldn't help but feel he had to make up for all the carnage he was unable to shed in the Vatican, when the Ritualists had attacked. Speaking of which, there was also her... He had a bit of a score to settle, indeed; few had ever landed such a blow on him, and it was... Well, impressive. She was a worthy opponent, he'd give her that.

As he came into the city, a trio caught his attention. A trio of Templars, in particular. Devotion, the cyborg-like "weapon" of the Order. Something he really didn't agree with all too much, but that wasn't for him to express his opinions on. She was the way she was because the order knew what they were doing. Final statement on the matter, no room for argument. Though it'd be easier to take if she ever expressed emotion. The few times he'd been in her presence... He shivered slightly, shaking the uneasy feeling from his mind.

With her was a certain other Templar, one whom certainly struck Rev as eccentric. One Gabriel Alencar, a VERY FLAMBOYANT Templar who just so happened to be blind AND fairly decent with a gun. Somehow. He was a pretty cool guy, really, and Rev did enjoy their occasional hanging-outs. Except that time they had a bit too much wine. That was slightly awkward, especially the ten-week tattoo removals. OTHER THAN THAT, THOUGH, Rev liked Gabriel. Though his augment was so confusing. WAS HE SPEAKING DUTCH OR NOT!? AND HOW TO RESPOND!? Always dilemnatic.

And lastly, the Paladin Seishin. Definitely not one Rev saw often, given how much the man stayed in Helsinki, always working and whatnot. But from the few times Rev had made his acquaintance, he didn't seem like too bad a guy. And of course, he was a Paladin; one of Rev's superiors, and therefore, one of very few people who had the authority to tell him what to do (though whether he'd actually follow through...) Hopefully, he wouldn't tell Rev to do anything, because Rev was really not a man who cared too much for pointless orders.

At any rate, Rev approached the trio, waving, with a grin. "Hallo!~ Didn't expect to see a posse of Templars here; what are you three up to?" Whatever it was, he was interested, and hopefully it involved punching demons in the throat.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Devotion Tue Sep 03, 2013 12:59 pm

As she stared blankly at the young man who had just introduced himself, she wasn´t sure what to answer. Sure she would confirm that she was indeed Devotion. But why did he tell her he´d be at her service? That made no sense. It was HER duty to be at HIS service. Not the other way round. Was it a test? Maybe in order to make sure her functions were still working smoothly, as well as her friend/foe differenciation. Well she had no intention of leading or attacking her superior. Quite the opposite, she was ready to follow any orders he might give her.

"Indeed Sir, this unit goes by the name of Devotion. The serial Number is 00000000027. I am a type-omega Cyborg Mark.5#. Yet as you correctly stated generally referred to simply as "Devotion". However you cannot be of service to me, Sir. I am of service to you." Her mechanic voice, that simultaniously spoke with the voice of a woman, as well as an unnaturally deep bass, lacked any kind of judgment. She had merely corrected her superior on their ranks. Any Templar no matter what rank it had, was a superior to the weapon he used. As she had been classified as a weapon, that put her at the bottom of the chain of command in any given situation, unless she received orders to the contrary.

As Seihin appeared, Devotion simply turned her head to the superior officer, utterly ignoring the extended hand of the blind one. She didn´t really know any of these habbits and to her, they didn´t really matter. So even though she knew the extended hand had some meaning, she neither knew it, nor did she care. Her objective was clear, wasting time with unnecessary questions, was against her training. So... proceeding further:"Affirmative, Sir Seishin. You are the highest ranking offic-" She interrupted herself, as a new arrival made his appearance, seemingly out of nowhere.

Reverand Smith, Veteran and... currently hospitalized according to her records. However, his presence hear simply meant he was capable of participating in hunts earlier than expected. "Confirmation, you are the first in Command Sir Seishin. Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. is the second in command. Awaiting further instructions." Devotion simply walked past the blind man and positioned herself in between the three men, further scanning the area, observing it for demons as accurately as possible.

"I can detect six demonic entities within the parameter, close to our location. As soon as you give the order Sir, this unit will proceed to terminate the targets." Again her inhuman voice, sounded as she turned her head by 180° to look first at the reverand, then Seishin. There was little else to be said. They had an objective... might as well fullfil it.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

"Built to serve, but no room to please?" Gabriel chuckled to himself as he pocketed his hands and turned to the other voices that approached. The first being Seishin, one of the Paladins. Gabriel knew of him, and had at times passed the other Templar by, but he had yet to actually work alongside him. The said could also be said of the second to arrive.

Gabriel had heard of Reverend Smith. Nearly insane, if rumors held true, but... in a good way. Definitely the sort that would die to uphold his duties, but so reckless at the same time. Still, he was many tiers above the elder Alencar in rank, and Gabriel would address him as such.

"Definitely an honor to work with you all." The Brazilian smiled, gave a short salute, and stepped out just a bit, taking notice of all sounds around him. Yes, just as Devotion had pointed out, it did sound as if there was... something heading their way. "Ready whenever you all are. Oh, and... try not to jump in the way if I pull the twins out. Don't need any other friendly fire notices in my inbox."

While he had no augments that could assist him in combat, Gabriel definitely still had quite the cocky air about him. Most demons proved simple enough to take down with nothing but a firearm for assistance anyway. As long as he was agile enough to maneuver about their attacks and come out unscathed, there'd be no problems. And he usually was.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Seishin Akanami Sat Sep 07, 2013 1:45 pm

Seishin had a somewhat creeped out look on his face when the cyborg's head had twisted completely around to speak to them. It wasn't everyday that Seishin was bewildered some. He remained seated and hunched over on the floor, as the two templars conversed. He would provide assistance where needed for this run. He didn't want to steal all their fun anyway.

Seishin turned his head to spot the reverend as he smiled some. The man was a lunatic some said, but he did a damn good job at what he did. The fact that he wasn't in a leadership position at all was quite surprising, giving the man's reputation. These three all had fine records in their folders, and he felt that his assistance with their demon hunting would be minimal to none. "Well, the three of you are free to engage any hostile entities in the viscinity. As I said before, I'm mostly here to observe. You are your own individuals that have sworn against demon kind. You don't need my permission to kill them." Seishin stretched a little as he looked up to them from his sitting position."Just don't get killed yourselves. Of course I will not allow that to happen, and seeing that all three of you are very capable, I feel as if you'll do fine."

Seishin remained seated, ready to what was to come. With the four there, he imagined that something large could possibly wander here for a meal. He wasn't too worried. These three were still walking, which meant they could fight. And templars were damn good at what they did.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Reverend Smith Sun Sep 15, 2013 5:24 am

...O Jee, her voice... It was so mechanical... And... And scary. Ah, but Rev wasn't one to be rude, nor was he one to show any sign of how creeped out Devotion made him. Rather, he gave a smile and chuckled slightly. "Second-in-Command, ja? Heh, wasn't expecting that; was just stopping by out of curiosity. Though I'm always up for a bit of fun." Now he just needed to be briefed on his newfound objectives! Because honestly, he had no idea what he was doing... But of course, killing demons came as naturally as breathing to the Reverend, such that as Devotion existed solely to combat demonic forces, so did he. It was an odd sort of bond, really; a pair of weapons for the Templar Order, although he clearly had a much more organic personality than her... Well, lack thereof.

As his mind turned to other thoughts, the Brazilian Templar spoke, to which Rev smiled and extended his hand for the Templar to shake; hopefully, the blind man would notice his handshake...? He still had no idea how that worked... "And it's an honor and a privilege to work with you as well, Gabriel. The same to you as well, Seishin and Devotion." While it was really one of the defining traits of his occupation, Rev wasn't really being modest at the moment; rather, it was indeed a genuine statement; all three Templars with him were exceptionally talented individuals. A Templar born and bred for combat, who worked- ironically enough- as well as a well-oiled machine, a blind Templar who was still proficient enough to fulfill his duties, without any augmentation to allow him to see, and a Paladin, notable not just for the fact he WAS a Paladin, but for the fact he was younger than Rev, AND in such a position. It spoke volumes for Seishin's capabilities and leadership.

Though there was a reason that he himself wasn't a Paladin, which Gabriel's next few remarks reminded him of. He gave a chuckle and casually dismissed such warnings with a wave. "Ah, I'm sure you can't be that bad for friendly fire. If anyone should be warning about such, it oughta be me, though you three are far too capable for me to even need to warn you." And it was indeed true; he had a rather bad record for accidentally landing his own comrades in hospitals, simply because they just happened to be in the way at the wrong time. Moments after he said that, Seishin spoke up, finally shedding some light on his duties.

"Ahhh, so it's a demonic free-for-all slaughterfest, eh?~ Just what I need to get back into shape; I've been out of action for far too long, I think." And really, the week or two of hiatus was far too much; had it not been for the fact that a plane-shift would have interfered with his healing, he'd have done so immediately! His liver was already starting to regenerate, as it was, simply due to his augmented DNA! It did occur to him, though, as he pondered things, that he had neglected to bring any weapons with him... Ah well, more fun, more challenge!~ He grinned and gave Seishin a friendly wink. "Well, once we meet our quota (whateverthatis), feel free to jump in for a bit of overtime~ You should get to have some fun too, no?"

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Devotion Wed Sep 18, 2013 8:13 am

Devotion simply nodded, with her head still turned, before turning it back, focusing on the target at hand. She didn´t understand the talk between the men all too well, yet she understood the words, listening to them as they were said. Paladin Seishin, repeated their orders, noting that he himself would just supervise them in action. Depending on her performance, he would probably grade their capabilities, in order to judge their records properly. Assuming this was a relatively minor demon hunt, it would probably be more of an introduction to a greater task.

However, when Reverand Smith mentioned friendly fire, Devotion stated:"Do not worry Sir, if you hit me the damage can be repaired immediately. In case I run out of material, the repairs could be done later on. It happened before that I got shot in the back, the last time with Sir White, who had unloaded a round into my rear. Naturally I removed the slug and went on as it was only superficial damage. I do not think you need to worry yourself about damaging my exterior." Being done with giving said Information, Devotions attention wandered towards the incoming threat.

She remembered the reverands state now and simply made an offer:"If you would prefer, I could take off my right arm. You could use it either as a bludgeoning weapon, or use the attached blade. It is an anti-demon weapon, so it should cut very severe wounds. However I am afraid, when not attached to my body only the secondary powercell would work in order to make the blade vibrate, so unless a lot of force is applied it wouldn´t cut as well, without my arm attached." Waiting for an order to confirm or to counter her offer, the cyborg prepared for opening the fixtures and locks, along with the connections, that kept her arm in the joint.

Devotions senses focused right afterwards though, as her gaze was fixated on the approaching six signatures. Tall... almost gigantic, the six Taurus demon, approached them. Devotion, readied herself, stepping further backwards, while informing her comrades of the incoming threat:"Six Taurus demons, about 15 feet in size. Usually known for high physical strength, but blind charges. I suggest immobalizing them by cutting the tendons in their legs, before dealing a finishing blow from mid range." Finishing her suggestions, she looked around, using the rock-formation behind herself in order to get on higher ground.

Jumping on the first, she kicked against it in order to propell herself onto the highest one of the formation, bulling herself onto it with her right arm. SHe now remained in a ducked position, awaiting the bull-headed demons approach, keeping the Banshee aimed at the approaching demons. As soon as they were in range, she could probably take one out with a shot to the head. Thankfully, they were rather large targets... exactly what the Banshee had been made for.

Gabriel readied himself. The footsteps grew closer, the staggering force of each one beginning to shake the ground more as the demons marched onward. Had they noticed the group yet? It wouldn't appear so, and the fact that these were Taurus Demons, made apparent by Devotion, meant that they probably wouldn't until they had already reached them. Definitely not the brightest of creatures, or so the audio intel he had listened through days earlier had told. Regardless, he pushed at front of his throat slightly.

"I will refrain from using my augment now," his voice was quieter. "Wouldn't want them to understand me." Smirk still strong across the agent's face, he crouched and held the same hand he had used to cease his augment's function to the ground. The demons steps out of rhythm, he could make out from the vibrations each gave off the exact formation they strode in. Two headed them off, another three behind them, and the last between and to the side. Rather smart travel for a group, especially on dangerous ground, but creatures of war would be more akin to battle tactics than any other sort of smarts.

"I would suggest a heavy strike from the side, to take down the central target quickly. This will catch them off guard. Then two of us could lead a frontal assault, and the last of us can come in from the back. I would also suggest that I be the latter, but none of this is up to me." He pulled the pistol from his hip holster out and flipped the safety off slowly. Now he would have to await the order from his superior, just as Devotion did. While these two had little in common, the binding factor that tied them together was that they were both simply tools at the others' disposal. Weapons of war, conditioned to do as they were told.

"Sirs? Thoughts?"

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Seishin Akanami Thu Sep 19, 2013 1:08 pm

Seishin would smile at the three of them. He was curious as to their abilities and preferred method of combat. Raising himself to a standing position, he looked over at Gabriel, who suggested the mode of attack. Seishin scratched his head at the the thought of six taurus demons. "I want you all to handle these Taurus demons in the best way you seem fit. A Templar needs to be versatile in accomplishing a goal, no matter how simple. Granted, You must also learn not to throw your lives away to complete a run of the mill mission. Always keep options on the table." These three were some of the best that the order had to offer, so it was natural that he would interfere as little as possible.

Looking to the Reverend, he chuckled at the thought of gettng to toy with a few demons. "I'll leave the fun for you three. I am just here to observe." He watched them ready themselves as he stayed at the back of the formation. " If I interfered, you guys would have no demons to kill! So go at it!" Seishin walked over and took a nice seat on a dilapidated park bench, wiping some debris away so he could sit.

Sitting there, he thought of what would happen when he wasn't around. As a Paladin, death was always around the corner. Maybe one day, he would have to train a soldier to take his spot. Unlike the other Paladins, he was recognized for his vast fighting and combat prowess. His deadly augment assisted his rise. He could lead, sure, but it was daunting for him sometimes, ordering a soldier or a whole platoon to their deaths. Was that what made him a leader? Watching the three, he remembered when he was first painstakingly augmented and his "Thousand Demon Crusade". Younger Templars rumored that he killed a thousand demons in a 24 hour time span, and was forced to return by the paladins of that time. Rumors like that were highly exaggerated, but not completely false either. Sometimes being stufk behind a desk was a worse enemy than Lucifer himself.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Johannes E. Schlosser Fri Sep 20, 2013 11:29 pm

With a sudden crackle and a strange taste of tapioca pudding, a voice seeped into the Templar’s ears, mild tinges of static warping it ever so slightly. The voice seemed to originate from each Templar’s CrossGear, those whom had it subdermally implanted would probably notice about this time that it might have been a poor choice to let a mad, possibly Nazi, scientist implant a piece of prototype technology in their body in the first place…

Crrrrrzck- Coming to you live! From Templar HQ, it’s the one, the only DJ Schlosser! Here to provide you and yours with the appropriate music for the appropriate hour! But first the news: Around a 100 people were killed today in ethnic clashes and cattle raids in South Sudan, apparently proving that cattle are worth more than human lives. On the flip side, the United States Census Bureau reports that the world population was hit Seven Billion~ Go Earth, you keep on fucking and producing impoverished children! In Sports, the American NCAA imposed strict penalties on the North Carolina Tar Heels for severe code violations- I guess their morality officer was a-“sheep” at the wheel. HAPPY BIRTHDAY To Japanese Heavy Metal Vocalist Minoru Niihara of Loudness, and Happy Deathday to Doobie Brother's drummer Michael Hossack!”

Fake applause and laughter tracks play….but very obviously backwards.

“The weather forecast for today in Inferis is Hot and Shitty, with pockets of Moist and Sick-Nasty. Expect Firestorms this evening with a chance of Brimstone Hail. Tomorrow, Warm and sunny with a high of 87. Now children, it is time for the word of the day. The word of the day is Keratogenic! Be sure to use this word as often as you can today and you might win a prize!”

Cheers and applause overlaid with meat grinding noises and metal on metal.

“No! No Back! BACK! BACK IN YOUR CAGE HERMAN! BACK! STAY! ….Good boy!” The sudden sound of a combat shogun pumping then firing is quickly followed by something between an owl screech and a bear roar. “….And now for some music!”

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Hrm... Well, what she said Did make sense, but it still just... IT UNNERVED HIM. HOW DOES ONE UNNERVE A MAN WHO CANNOT BE UNNERVED!? Nevertheless, he shifted his attention, as Devotion's unintentional creepiness would only be a distraction. But then she spoke once more, now a bit less creepy, though still pretty creepy. But it was an offer for him to use her arm as a weapon.

...

Well that was just plain odd. Why would he want to do such a thing as that!? He chuckled, shaking his head. "Ah, thank you, but I will have to decline, Devotion. I'm fairly capable of handling myself with only what I've brought with me. But I do appreciate the offer." And it wasn't far from the truth; he was a very strong and capable man, even in a slightly weakened state. He had no need for weapons, per se, especially since it leveled the playing fields this way. He had scores more combat experience than Devotion or Gabriel, and was therefore far more capable of mass destruction than either of them, no matter their records. It simply made things more fair, in his opinion. Plus, it was a self-imposed challenge, and he did love a good challenge.

And then came the challenge itself. Six Taurus demons. As he saw it, two for each of them. How fun! Devotion and Gabriel at once began discussing strategy, but he would have none of that! Not because he felt he was above their tactics, or because he just didn't care, but because he generally just didn't work within a line of tactics. Now was a moment in which his lack of team-based experience would show most apparently. He'd only ever worked with his wife or son in the field, and occasionally a partner, when nobody else could work with them. Thus, he'd rarely ever had to deal with tactics. That, and the fact he had a tendency to do things his own way, with little regard for such things as strategy. Which likely stemmed from his lack of formal military training.

At any rate, he dashed forth, targeting the nearest Taurus demon. And of course, he was unarmed. LIKE A MAN. the demon rose its hefty axe into the air, bringing it down with a slam as Rev dropped into a slide, narrowly avoiding the big beast's blade, which embedded in the ground as he came to a halt behind it, standing back on his feet. Not missing a step, he swung his right leg up in a roundhouse kick, aiming for the giant's kneecap. He struck it but didn't cause much damage, only catching its attention. It turned, ceasing its attempts to draw its blade from the ground, as it charged at Rev. Grinning a madman's grin, the preacher waited for it to come almost to him, before tucking and rolling away at the last second.

the beast's momentum kept it moved a bit more, before it turned and charged again. This time Rev moved quickly forward, aiming for its axe, still embedded in the ground. Leaping, he landed on the under-side of the blade and ran along it, before jumping forward, aiming at the very end of the handle. Which all of his force, he caught it and pulled hard as he landed. The minotaur having loosened it, it came up with this last act of physics- just as the Taurus approached, full speed. The blade swung up as if on a fulcrum, slicing into the demon's chest and slashing it vertically across the face, through its right eye. The great monster recoiled as the blade flipped over, now aimed at Rev, who prepared to move, lest he be crushed. But then words happened on his CrossGear. Removing the seven-sided foam die from his pocket, he held them up to his ears, deftly catching the flat of the great axe with a hand, which visibly strained from holding it up, just over his head.

"What the... Oh, it's just you, Schlosser. Should've figured." AH, THE NAZI SCIENTIST. such an erm... Interesting. Uh... Person? He was almost a person. kinda. As far as Rev could tell, he was Devotion's father, and certainly had much more emotion than her, which... Well, may or may not be a bad thing. "Tar Heels, eh? Well, there goes five grand. Knew I shouldn't made those oddly specific bets with White. " "I bet you five thousand dollars the NCAA will drop some bad restrictions on the Heels for severe penalties." "How could you possibly expect something like that? Deal. But it has to happen tomorrow!" "Okay. Now excuse me while I go do something besides fix that bet." Hmmm... now that he thought about it... WHITE WAS A GREAT GUESSER.

OH, RIGHT. As the music began to play, Rev remembered that he was KIND'VE JUST BARELY PREVENTING HIS OWN PAINFUL DEMISE, AS THE TAURUS DEMON FINISHED REGAINING ITS COMPOSURE. Back-rolling out of harms way, the axe fell with a thud, as the minotaur hoisted it up again. 'My, this is good exercise, haha!~ And the silly doctors said I shouldn't do such crazy things as this!" Like anyone listened to medical professionals, haha!

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Threats incoming. Even though she had heard the tactic, coming from the boy the sudden charge of Reverand Smith, did interrupt the plan, yet also played into it fairly well. The attention of the taurus demons had focused mostly on the blindly charging, unarmed man, kicking their specimens ass quite professionally. So now, sticking to Sir Gabriels plan, Devotion acitvated her augment for a split second, to dart off her elevated location at horrendous speeds, rotating her body, into the direction she was jumping to make it travel further and faster. Now falling right towards the Taurus demon in the center, teh creature brought it´s axe up, forcing Devotion to alter her rotation in mid-air using her limbs rotation. As the axe passed by her in mis-air her right left, kicked against the axe-blade launching Devotion behind the demon. However as she stretched out the Twins, in a reverted position on her angle, she cut through the demons face in the proces.

Finally making contact with the ground, Devotion activated her Augment for another split movement, in order to turn around and step forard right between the wounded demons legs. While the Banshee fired a shot at the demons left popliteal, her right hand shot three needles into it´s right, effectively causing both the demons knees to disappear in a bloody mess. The left knee simply disappeared entirely in a diameter of about 80cm, whereas the other knee blew up like a balloon, only to burst open, with silvery metal-like fluid splashing around, along with meat and bone-parts. Now hoever, Devotion was forced to retreat, making a backstep, powered with her augment, to dodge the two incoming axes, from the two Taurus demons, that had been flanking her till now.

As intended one demon was imobalized, another caught up in combat with Reverand Smith, while four were currently looking at her. In other words... Gabriel had a free line of shot, right into the creatures backs. Yet first Devotion would finish the job she had started. Charging at the four demons, circling around the legless one, at normal speeds, Devotion waited for them to charge into her direction. Then, using another short impulse from her Augment, she darted straight to the right, in roder to get out of the bull-charges, only to use the momentum from said dodge, in order to launch herself towards the wounded Taurus demon. Firing a shot towards a demon that hadn´t charged with the rest, she used the recoil of her gun, in order to blast herself further into the air, rotating her limbs again, in order to stabalize this action. However, her shot at the random Taurus had beend blocked.

Yet this hadn´t been her target to begin with. Instead Devotion landed right in the neck of the Taurus demon with the destroyed legs, who frantically tried to grab her with either hand. Cutting of the grasping hand of the one, while blasting off the other, Devotion pressed the Banshee right into the demons neck. Activating her augment the very moment she shot, in order to propell herself right back into the heat of combat. This allowed her to just narrowly dodge the axe swung horizontally towards her, as the shortly distracted bull she had shot at just before, launched said attack at her.

One down... five to go. However Devotion focused mainly on the now isolated lone, Taurus demon, who went into a charging stance, while the other three... well they´d probably pick their targets now, as combat had been spread between herself and Reverand Smith. Gabriel had entire freedom of choice in the upcoming confrontation.
As the lone bull came charging at her Devotion waited until he had almost reached her, before performing half a summersault, over the bent demons head, firing a single needle into it´s neck when she moved above it. It had been more a lucky shot, than a lot of skill. The needle had definitely hit the spinal chord, making the demon halt his entire movement in an instant, as he got paralyzed from the neck down, due to the expanding material breaking his spine. This opponent could probably be considered dead for now... time to focus on the rest.

She had turned off her audio-transmitters the moment the distracting channel had opened itself.

Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin] Empty Re: Bucket-head and friends [Devotion, Gabriel, Reverend Adrianus Sloysius Elia Gerlach Smith VII. and Seishin]

Post by Seishin Akanami Tue Oct 08, 2013 10:05 am

Seishin propped his chin on his fist as he watched them discuss their mode of attack before he saw the Taurus Demons reveal themselves. Their axes were always scary, and could easily cleave a car in two. Seishin first watched the Reverend charge straight in..

...

He was utterly baffled by the Reverend, neglecting weaponry and tactics for brutality. The man was at least twenty years older than himself, but he sure was quick on his feet. He was entertained as the man used the demon's own axe against it. It was a smart, yet lucky move. Seishin's smile easily disappeared as he gave himself a much needed facepalm, as he watched them man block the axe with one hand while he fooled around with a pair of fuzzy die. Seishin began to hear static through his crossgear as he spoke back to the crazy scientist. "I want to meet the person that let you have access to this frequency, because they are by far crazier than you, Schlosser." Seishin dialed down his crossgear to a manageable volume as he focused his attention to Devotion.

The cyborg was skillfully juggling a few Taurus, and displayed immense speed. Did Schlosser really create something so advanced? Seishin was somewhat baffled by the powers on display in front of him. Seishin watched as a streak of blood landed in front of where he sat, as he watched Devotion eviscerate a Taurus. What a mess.

Seishin felt a lumbering presence near himself as he saw the shadow of an axe coming down, right above his head. Letting out an irritated sigh, Seishin quickly slid to the other side of the bench, the axe cleaving the bench as he quickly leaped up, standing in front of the demon. "I'm not your opponent." Seishin extended an arm forward as black filaments swarmed out from his sleeve."I'll show you to the others" The powder quickly coiled in tendrils around the demon's wrists and arms, as the demon struggled against the magnetic power with futile effort. The demon's arms began to steam from the holy dust that snared it, as he directed his arm to a stagnant fountain. The beast was lifted up and sent down crashing on the marble structure, letting out a grunt of pain as it dropped its axe.

As the powder quickly receded back up his arm, Seishin casually took his seat back on another bench adjacent to the now destroyed one. "Keep up the fine work you three!" Seishin leaned back on the bench as his hands tucked into the large sleeves of his red jacket, as he let out a sigh of content.
