DESCRIPTION:
Eisenberg, physically, looks nothing like the man he once was. What is left of his body is pale and ashen-skinned, and much of him is physically destroyed due to countless battles in WWII, experimentation upon himself, or just simply through constant aging. He is bald save for a few whisps of long, white hair that droops down from the sides of his head. His eyes are sunken into his skull and are practically red due to experimentation upon his body. His jawline is very prominent, the skin taught against the bone, and his neck is covered in abrasions and wounds that have never truly gotten their chance to heal.
Save for one arm, most of his body is simply ragged stumps. Stitches cover most of his wounds on his arms and legs though many of them are left open, with pieces of cyber-genetic enhancements attached within so that he can attach his nervous system to his enhancement suits. Strips of skin and muscle still hang from the stumps that have long lost feeling, and burn wounds cover his ashen skin along with other scars, some of them self-inflicted.
As far as wear is considered, he goes nowhere outside without his specialized enhancement suits. As a multi-billionaire he has no use for actually going outside in broad daylight, using his secretaries and staff members to accomplish works for him and act in his name. His enhancement suits essentially give him the function of a still-living man, which includes working arms and legs that attach directly to his body and nervous system, changing him from the shell of a man who normally would have been about 5'9'' to a 7 foot tall, mechanical muscle-man. In the event that he does have to make himself appear among others he is usually wearing one of these suits and performing experiments. Rarely does he ever show anyone what he looks like within; he occasionally strips himself of all enhancements and reverts to his gruesome form, using special machines to carry him around in his private chambers, so that he can reflect upon his depressing existence without his machinery distracting him.
In Inferis he most definitely wears his latest enhancement suits. These exo-skeletal devices provide him with the perfect all-terrain capacity most others, Templars included, would envy. He primarily uses these suits for research, though they are perfectly designed for combat situations. The suits he takes with him into Inferis are capable of physically morphing themselves so as to accommodate his Inferismorph, which he rarely evokes anymore.
PERSONALITY:
In a word; cold. Very little left about Eisenberg is even considered human anymore. He is, quite literally, more machine than man, having body parts and organs replaced by mechanical devices to ensure his survival. As a former scientist of the German Third Reich, he was once described as a very devoted and somewhat caring man; ensuring his experiments were as comfortable as possible so that the horrific deeds he was forced to perform upon them for the good of science was done quickly and painlessly. Though no longer serving the Reich of Hitler, he is still just as devoted to his work, though what little he cared about life has long been gone. While working he expects results and he expects them done quickly, and does not desire to be kept waiting. He can often be described as a heartless megalomaniac in this state. Seldom does his smile, and when he does it's usually very brief. More often he frowns or glares, grimacing when his results are not achieved in a timely fashion.
When alone, he is very broody. As a man who should have died fifty years earlier, he has had a lot of time to think about his condition and wonder why he shouldn't simply give up his ghost. He has learned the hard way that immortality as man foresees it does not exist in this current age, and may never will, though he is bound and determined to accomplish his goals until every option is exhausted in this world and the next.
In the event that he loses his temper or someone does him wrong, however, his appearance and mood changes greatly. Often his cold and calculating mentality switches towards a raging inferno as he enacts vengeance upon those who did him wrong. Living for as long as he has, his patience wears thin fairly quickly, and he'll often resort to brute force to ensure that things go according to his plans. If it's a distraction and it gets in the way, it's little more than kindling or scrap metal.
DEMON PERSONALITY:
Formerly a being of intense intellect and dark desires for destruction in the human world, the demon that is bonded to Eisenberg has become just as cold and just as silent and brooding as the human that wills it so. They have been together for long enough that Eisenburg's personality and will has virtually merged together with the demon's. It often does not speak to him for ages at a time, and when it does it is to simply give him suggestions to ensure that its vessel is kept alive and in working condition, such as while in combat or performing a dangerous experiment.
When in Inferis, the demon is just as quiet and foreboding as its master, perhaps even more so while in the realm it was made in. It knows that, no matter how much it wants to, it can never leave its master's side. They are stuck with one another for time immemorial. Even in death it likely thinks that it can never escape, for the old spells used to bind them together have been in use for so long that there is a good chance that their conscious forms are now intertwined with one another. Indeed, death may be just as much of a blessing for its host as it might be a curse to itself, and it knows it.
Of course, despite this, the demon knows that it must keep its host alive out of instinct alone. Ancient programming combined with neural implants used by the good doctor have ensured that it is forced to serve the German Researcher for as long as he deems necessary. As a result, it has become little more than a slave; a mindless drone accomplishing whatever its master wills it whether it wants to or not. Despite this, it has grown accustomed to this role of lifestyle; after all, the demon was once a machine even before it became bonded, it seems only natural that it would want to behave like one...
HISTORY:
Albrecht S. Eisenberg was born in Munich, Germany in 1894. He was a boy when his father went to war in the First World War and returned a broken man, and he was forced to watch as his own mother wasted away into death while his father became a drunk and practically drowned himself in the bottle. Deciding that he'd never join any military force no matter what, he went into college to become a scientist, and it was there that he met his Helga.
Helga was the love of his life; his darling freuiline, his adlevice flower. He grew an obsession over her beauty and scientific mind, a rare combination ever found within the halls of science. The two of them fell in love and were soon married, having a child of their own; a young daughter. They would have been the perfect family if it weren't for the depression striking hard upon the German people and the threat of a revolution hanging in the air. Despite this, the two continued to do research for the German Government, while raising their daughter in the sidelines.
One thing that they studied together was the concept of cyber-electronics. Considered a fantasy at the time, Helga believed that humanity's future lay within the use of enhancing the human body with machinery. It could allow a weak man to gain the strength of ten bison, an asthmatic to gain lungs like a whale's. Of course, Albrecht agreed to her words out of sentiment; he himself doubted that cybernetics were even possible at all, but despite this he helped ensure his wife's success in the fields of science.
Fate, however, decreed differently. In the year of 1933, the 39-year-old researcher would receive a turning point in his life. A terrorist attack occurred in his hometown of Munich, in response to the poverty of Germany and the rise of Adolf Hitler into power as Chancellor of Germany, resulting in the deaths of several people including his wife, Helga. Eisenberg was one of the few survivors, having escaped however with a gunpowder burn across the left side of his face.
Grief-stricken, Eisenberg did all that he could to revive his wife but failed. Choosing to have her body preserved rather than buried or cremated, he had her shipped into the nearby mountains so that she could remain in a stable, un-decayed state. From then on he cut himself off from the world, avoiding his own daughter, herself having started a family of her own, and rather than live his life as a normal human being he began researching fully into his wife's projects of Cybernetics.
It was in the year of 1939, at least six years later, that he was approached by none other than Adolf Hitler, now Fuehrer of the German Third Reich. Six years affected the doctor horribly. Eisenberg had become a shell of his former self, his body aching, his eyes gaunt and hollow from grief. Having practically given up ever succeeding in restoring his wife, he nevertheless was seen as useful to the Fuehrer. Hitler gave the doctor an offer he could not refuse; serve as one of his best scientists, acting as a part of a secret war against the forces of Europe, by providing him with cyber-augments to create the world's greatest super soldiers. In return, he would give him the money and equipment necessary to restore his wife.
For many years after, Eisenberg served as one of the primary forces behind many of the experiments done upon the captured Jewish and Slavic peoples during the Holocaust. In his eyes, even if Nazi Germany saw little use for them, he found perfect use for their physical bodies as potential test subjects to try out his cybernetic program. Many a patient was sent to the crematorium with their arms and legs partially sawed off or holes poked into their bodies, or even with organs missing. Most of them were failures, though there were a few successes that appeared promising to the doctor. It was during his time serving Hitler that he became aware of the existence of the Templar Order, and also aware of the concept of Demonic Entities.
Many years prior to his service to the Reich, Eisenberg had stopped going to Church. Formerly a devout Christian, he saw the church as a waste of time as he continued his research, though losing his wife was the final straw. Turning his back on God, he refused to believe in the concept of such an entity, proclaimed by all to be a force of good, to allow his wife to simply die and let him live. Under the service of Hitler he became aware of the Nazi supernatural program, researching into the concepts of the 'other side' and learning about the demonic realm of Inferis. Interested, he began to privately research into the concepts himself, until he discovered that, indeed, Hell as mankind understood the term did exist, and it was possible to call upon other entities into this reality.
Moving into a research center in Rome, Italy being an Axis power, Eisenberg began developing a cybernetic suit that could be used as essentially a back-up body in the event that a human's body would fail. Ordering that pieces of the armor were to have demonic symbols engraved for the purpose of bonding, Eisenberg began researching more and more into the occult in his spare time. In 1945, he discovered how to truly summon a demonic entity, and decided to test his new suit design on himself. After opening a large gash into his right arm, he ordered the construct prepared, and then proceeded to summon a demon into our world.
When he succeeded, the bonding took longer than he first thought. As he violently proceeded to attempt to control the demon within his mind, his assistants began to attach the parts necessary to his body that would allow control of the suit. Electronic devices were attached to nerves cut open by surgeons' hands. Muscle tissue was replaced by mechanical augments to better control the robotic systems attached to the man's body. In the end, when he awoke, his right arm had completely changed; engulfed by a mechanical device that was the first piece of many that would be included in his cybernetic suit. It worked!
Eisenberg discovered that through the demon's powers, his body could heal at a rapid rate; allowing his nervous center to reconnect and retain control of his lower arm while still maintaining the functions of his new systems. Thanks to this discovery, things changed for the good doctor. Hitler ordered for the completion of his suit and for the recreation of the process immediately upon learning of the Americans' arrival to the war. Undergoing similar processes, Eisenberg had his body undergo several cybernetic changes to ensure his suit could function properly. When it was finished, his suit had become a perfect blend of machine and man, and soon he ordered for the design of more warsuits like his own so that they could participate in the secret war against the Allied Forces.
In the resulting conflicts, Eisenberg himself would enter the war and proceed with combat against Allied Forces and, later, Templars who learned of his dark research. In the cataclysmic wake of WWII, he lost his left arm and both of his legs, several organs, and suffered an uncounted number of burns. By the time Hitler had committed suicide at the end of the war, he had enough. He stole what research he could and burned the rest, ensuring that no one could repeat his dark process again save for him.
Since WWII, Eisenberg has remained in hiding in his base far in the mountains. Still looking for a way to bring his wife back from the dead, he has undergone many more augmentic changes to his body, literally little more than a husk of the man he once was. His time in the service of the Reich has given him many benefits, and as a result he has become a multi-billionare. He still occasionally sells some of his work to those who need it the most, sometimes even to the Templars (under a different alias; many have no idea that he's the same hated man as the one in WWII, most having been convinced he had died long ago). Eisenberg has not yet succeeded in summoning his wife back, and has lost all traces of his daughter long ago. Often, he remains at home, brooding and thinking hard upon new ways that he could resurrect his dead wife, though a part of him, deep down, doubts he'll ever succeed.

FACTION:
Albrecht Eisenberg considers himself to be a freelance individual, having had enough to do with megalomaniacs like Hitler. He knows all about the Hell Princes and the Templars both, and prefers to keep his nose out of either of their business. Of course, he's also considered a corporate billionare under his other aliases, and as such hardly needs the money...though when he does offer his services, it's to provide him with more research.
SKILLS:
- He is a corporate billionare, and as such has many resources
- He is physically strong when in any of his enhanced cybernetic warsuits
- His mind has seen a lot, and as such he's tempered himself to be prepared for anything. Most disturbing events don't even faze him
- He has genius-level intellect. To quote him "Even Einstein, that bookworm, couldn't compare to my mental skills..."
DEMON SKILLS:
- When possessed, his demon enhances his healing factor, making his physical body almost immune to most basic damage
- His body leaks soul energy from the possession, which in turn provides extra power to his warsuits.
- His suits are enhanced by superior strength and agility, increasing their performance by double or triple depending upon the amount of power gained
WEAKNESSES:
- Most of his body is gone; he is incapable of social interaction and requires others to do so for him
- His warsuits are based on 1940's technology, and while it's since been adapted and reworked the base implants are still from the 1940's, and as such can be unreliable at times
- His mind is incredibly old, and as such it isn't as coherent as it used to be. He can often be slow to respond or fail to understand at all
- Due to his grief, he often falls into periods of mourning or brooding. When he's like this, few things can distract him back to reality, leaving him vulnerable
- He is a Nazi War criminal, and as such is a prime target for most, including the Templars
COLOURS:
German (Skyblue), Italian (Olive), Russian (Blue), British English (Gold), Latin (Green), Demonic (Crimson)
TRIVIA:
- He knows most of the languages of the Old World Axis Powers
- Though born in Germany, he has Austrian heritage
- It's believed that he and Einstein once traded 'blows' in joint lectures
- His primary inspiration was Victor Freis, famous D.C. Comic supervillain otherwise known as Mr. Freeze
- He has knowledge on the Templars, which makes him a primary target
- He also is believed dead circa 1950, though he's acted under many different Aliases
- As a technological genius, he's invented many technological advances only dreamed of in science fiction. Due to his withdrawal and hatred of the world, however, very little of his advances are public knowledge
- He's not a big fan of the Hell Princes, though he respects the power they have and the potential danger they are to him and his cause
- His wife's body is still kept in cryogenic stasis in the German mountains
- He's believed to have been the first in a line of robotic super-soldiers made by Hitler in an attempt to counter many of America's and the Templar's advances, one of which includes the secretive Project Arbiter.
- Of all the Ritualists, he's the only one currently known to be bonded almost totally in mind and spirit with his demon. Grief, torment, and constant vigil have taken their toll upon his demonic partner
- It's believed that his demon was once a machine demon itself, which is likely how his bonding could have been made possible
