PERSONAL DETAILS

DEMON DESCRIPTION:
A corpse is what may keep a secret. Thus, Thros must be a corpse. Once he was something with more life to him but time and the forces that swirl in the underworld have made a wreck of whatever he once was. Thros stands at over six and a half feet tall and barely weighs a hundred pounds, if he weighed anything at all. Instead he is just what is left after someone took a pressure washer to someone for days. His bones are barely covered by a thick layer of scar tissue that doesn't manage to do the job around his spine, leaving the bone exposed. His fingers turned to razor sharp tipped bone claws sticking through what would have been his finger tips. A rib cage and sternum covered by rough dead skin tappers into a completely exposed spine attached to Thros' lower body by will and demonic power alone. His legs are just like his upper body. Just bone and skin ending in hooked talons where feet once were. The only piece of clothing that Thros wears is a tattered old piece of crimson cloth that he throws around his face and shoulders creating a makeshift mask. This is more for symbolism that anything else. The mask is a sign of secrets and stealth. His head is covered in a matted and long mane of black hair that seems to move on it's on, even with no air flow or motion. Perhaps the most eye catching feature about Thros are his brilliantly glowing blue eyes that mist the power that he contains. His voice is ore of a disembodied echo that doesn't quiet seem to have a source. Instead it just fills the air around him in a whisper that finds it'd way to those who need to hear.

MORTAL DESCRIPTION:
No need to look like anything but a normal man. People don't talk to those that might share what they know. Rarely do they tell anyone, unless they are fools. Thros looks much like he did in life. he is a dark skinned man of average height. His build is what one might expect of an amateur athlete or maybe a health nut. Though nothing about his appearance seems intimidating. Thros nearly always wears a very simple set of robes that have a stunning similarity to old shaman's robes. These dark colored robes have no markings on them and are truly forgettable. The only thing that stick with people who seem Thros in this form are his glittering blue eyes. So out of place, yet still so trustworthy. In his mortal form Thros has the same long black hair that seems to do what it will though it is clean and smells slightly of the forest. He is just a man, he is just another illusion of the world around us.

PERSONALITY:
To ask who Thros is is to ask what form water truly is. He is just like the flowing liquid of life. He takes the shape of the container he is poured into. While his appearance can be disturbing and might stand out Thros always seems to fit right in. In fact, he has a knack for seeing what people expect and being just is needed. In a polite meeting with superiors or inferiors he is the perfect gentleman. He takes a "lady's" coat and addresses everyone by the proper title. However, if he walks into a rowdy brawl with a mess of scrappers then that is exactly what he is. Throwing punches, claws, and insults with the best of them. His quick wit and natural sense for people gives Thros an edge in many situations. Being able to fit in when by all means he should not is very useful for collecting information.

Like a junkie shoots heroin into their veins Thros must consume knowledge and secrets. There is no moment in his life when he is no pursuing something. He can not be still or rest. His mind never turns off or rests. he must focus on the next acquisition and what to learn next. Not only that but this can lead to quests for something that might be utterly worthless, however, Thros got something so to him he finds it worthwhile.

Morality isn't a concern of the Shadow's Ear. He acts how he is expected. He takes on the morals he needs to succeed. Yet, he doesn't care for any collateral damage and tends to execute whatever his plan is with the most subtlety and the fewest traces. Because of this he does not enjoy combat and enjoys killing even less, unless that kill brings him closer to his goal.

Thros is always willing to help out someone who has some juicy information or might reward him a bit of secret that he might know or uncover. After all, why not be rewarded for doing what you love, and are addicted to.

HISTORY:
Whatever Thros was in life vanished with his death. What he was didn't matter. All he knew was that he a hunger for that which no one knew. Even in his torment he would crane his head and listen. Even when he was in agony he would listen to the whispers of the powers around him. It was in this way that he became what he is. His body was desecrated, destroyed, but his mind lived on. His memory was perfect and each day he repeated the names of those who had tormented him. Each hour that passed he worked until they all had fallen. Each and every one of the disappeared, slowly, over the years, now forgotten. That was only the start though. In his quest for vengeance he found that there was much more to know. he found that information was power and he had a talent for finding things out. It was his calling.

In the first millennia of his life he was nothing more than a stranger that seemed to be in too many important places and knew too many strange things. He sold his information and services to anyone who could reward him. He wandered from place to place offering himself up as a servant, then disappearing once he had what he wanted. He soon found himself drawing the attention of those in higher places. He had become a renowned spy, well, as renowned as a spy could be. However, his liberal tongue got him in trouble more tan a few times. It was at that time he figured out what his other calling was, to keep secrets. Never again did he tell someone a former secret. So he would find something out for them but he wouldn't even hint that he knew anything else. He worked in the here a now and kept a perfect record of every little bit of dirt he collected in his beautiful memory.

This is what he is now. In a world full of demons searching for a foothold here or there are in desperate need of information, well successful ones are. They need a spy or an assassin. When they are in their moment of need they hear a whisper. After all, what kind of demon of secrets would he be if he didn't know who needed his help.

FACTION:
Loyalty is only an illusion created by those in power to stay in power. Thros' loyalties lie with those he is working with at the time yet above all himself. He is still on the side of the Demon Princes in general however. No reason to side with the food in the overworld.

SKILLS:
Thros is an expert in the ways of stealth. Wether it is sneaking around like a shadow, picking something's pocket, or lying through his teeth he is perfect. No lying tells, no sound as he moves through the darkness. The perfect sneak.

Thros also possess a perfect memory. he can not forget anything he hears, sees, smells, feels, or experiences in any way. this includes every secret he's ever known to the hell of his torture at the hands of demons when he was just a soul.

Social chameleon would be a great way to describe The Truth Thief. He has an innate ability to become part of a group just by observing them for a few moments.

WEAKNESSES:
Once undertaken a task must be completed. this makes Thros somewhat single minded once he has agreed to do something. This also means he can not abandon the task, even if it proves midway to be useless.

Thros rarely, if ever tells people his true name. For names have great power. If he is called by the name Thros
Dredora Lejar he must listen and must obey that beings commands, as long as the command is issued after his true name has been spoken.

Thros is obsessed with finding knowledge and often will do unwise things to get it. He has been tricked with the promise of knowledge before.

This is really nice, though, Dread. Certainly a standup app - Thros is a very interesting character, and one who I'd definitely like to see potentially RP with Lucifer.
