ANGEL DESCRIPTION:

Her angelic form looks not exactly… well… angelic. As one of Ramiels Grigori, her appearance is kept illusive at all times. In her case this shows itself, through her entire body being wrapped in tendrils of seemingly semi-organic nature. Said tendrils wrap her body in like a dress, yet also extend to the arms and even the head. However this does not impede her ability to see as it is still part of her body. The tendrils possess a strange color, somewhere between black and red mostly resembling the color of very dark, dried blood.

Their structure is rough and sharp, making physical contact with her angelic shape rather uncomfortable. While her eyes would usually shimmer in the ghostly blue of the Grigori, hers are concealed by the tendrils covering her head, thus making it more appear than a general, very faint glow emitted from her upper face. Her angelic form stands up to about 7 feet and 2 inches, making it neither particularly tall nor small. While her angelic form doesn´t appear like it has a definite gender its features and physical build are that of a curvy woman, as the hips and chest still stand out despite the tendrils covering it all. From time to time Benicia wears a white dress over, usually for special purposes or official arrangements such as audiences.

However due to the fact that her tendrils already cover her body and also her legs below the dress-like shape, she usually wears no clothes. Under the tendrils she has the figure of a young woman, with short black hair and even darker eyes that glow in a strange light. She possesses very fair skin, while her breasts would be capable of holding a healthy C-cup. As mentioned before her hips are rather dominant as well. Her body is usually covered in light scars that plaster her body. However so far she never lifted the curtain of tendrils for any other reason than to take a bath… why would she?

MORTAL DESCRIPTION:

Her mortal form differs greatly from her angelic form without the tendrils. She possesses black hair that reaches down to her shoulders. Her skin is fair, being reminiscent of porcelain. Not the slightest flaw interrupts her silky skin in her human form, except for a single, small birthmark located on her left breast. Her body has the same curvy shape as her angelic form, yet instead of the seven feet two inches, it is only about six feet tall in total. Another difference between her angelic and her human shape is that her eyes have a soft tone somewhere in between black and blue, giving them the color of the ocean.

She is rarely seen smiling, yet when she does, her soft, nicely shaped lips would form a comforting, soothing smile, capable of warming even grumpy people’s hearts with ease. As stated her body is very curvy, yet it emits a sense of softness that seems almost like an invitation to touch her. And as a matter of fact, her human body is indeed very soft, having comforting warmth to it at all times. Her hands are long and slender, with filigree fingers and well manicured, perfectly shaped nails. When looking at her chest, the round shape of her perky breasts would definitely fall into ones eye, due to them being rather firm, giving a different impression as opposed to most larger breasts, that usually have the majority of tissue below the center, as opposed to her firmer exemplaries. Her attire usually consists of black suits, in tandem with dark gloves and a white long shirt.  As decoration she tends to wear a black tie, as well as a silver watch, while her shoes are usually elegant, tough men-shoes held in black as well. Her suits cut, is of course adapted to the physical frame of a female.

Although not exactly used to it, she also wears underwear in the human world, usually sticking to simple black bras and bottoms. However, when she tries to be either more feminine in looks, or when she is just in a casual environment, she usually wears black tights along with skirts of the same color. At times blue or white also goes into the mix, in order to give it some accents. Her upper wear then either consists of simple tops, or more complicated corsages, either in white or black. Of course she´d be always wearing appropriate underwear underneath these clothes. Her footwear to that are usually black or white, knee-high boots, or elegant shoes. In some rare cases she wears dresses too, with them being usually simple, yet with gloves and ornament like decorations on the shoulders and décolleté. Her color of choice in that matter is either black or white once again. That pretty much sums up her humanoid appearance.

PERSONALITY:

If Benicia is anything, she is harsh. To her the world is strictly separated into right and wrong, with little to nothing in between. Deriving from that view on the world, her major interest lies within enforcing what she considers just and good, while punishing what she considers wrong. However she does always allow for redemption in a sense. Yet the sort of redemption is usually chosen by her unless she party she wants to redeem makes a better suggestion. In other words should she ever encounter a murderer, she´d immediately tell him to turn himself in, if he doesn´t she´d simply kill him where he stands. It is either do or don´t, once you have made your choice she will act according to it. There is no dispute, no court and no argumentation, either you do as she says or you´ll have to deal with the consequences.

Demons are usually the exception to that, as from her point of view they are already vile creatures that have to be purged from the world. In other words, if she can she will indiscriminately kill any demonic entity she encounters and identifies as undoubtedly feral and evil. Some humanoid demons, might get a chance to redeem themselves from her, yet that depends entirely on the entity. As her usual job is that of an observer however, she rarely enforces the rules unless allowed to do so. Knowing the benevolent Grigori she´s usually under orders to not engage the enemy, as that usually leads to rather brutal massacres.

However when not doing her job she is usually a very kindhearted person that likes to make other people smile. As a result she does everything in her power to comfort the people she loves, going even so far as being a very tad bit possessive. Her protectiveness goes so far as to ask for the whereabouts of a loved one even, when said person hasn´t been gone too long, as well as worrying about the person in question (usually Ramiel) when he goes out into Inferis, most likely engaging in combat. In fact, Benicia is extremely protective of Ramiel, following him and protecting him like a bodyguard, except all the time and almost everywhere. She doesn´t really care whether he needs her protection or not, she simply does it because she worries about him. One wouldn´t be wrong in assuming that she has a little crush on the Archangel, yet neither does admit anything in the likes, nor does she react fondly to people who make indecent innuendos and things in the likes. Her wrath is well known… so is that fact that she once hung four other angels out of the window on their feet, keeping their wings tied to their bodies so they couldn´t fly away.

Her relative impulsiveness also shows itself through her behavior towards her master. Even though Ramiel is an Archangel, she usually complains about him being too sloppy, too reckless and generally just a mess who couldn´t tie his shoelaces by himself. Yet she always appreciates compliments from him, even though she´d usually react with embarrassment… or minor violence, should he address the wrong things (literally). Of course she´d never intentionally harm him… not that she could, when wrestling with him she usually ends up with him on-top within a few seconds. This again causes more ambiguousness, resulting in even more embarrassment on her part due to the imminent physical contact. However, given that the Archangel is almost the only one who can touch her in her angelic form without cutting himself open on her tendrils, she usually enjoys being that close to him.

Something a lot more hidden is the fact that she still blames herself for her child´s death, shortly after her own demise. It is what her overly protective behavior derives from, as she doesn´t want to cause the death of a loved one due to her own failures ever again. The fact that her child had died just a few days after her own demise, under her watch was also the reason her angelic appearance mutated the way it did, cladding her in a shape that should punish her in body and soul. Tendrils that would cut her own flesh, as well as the hands of those trying to give her undeserved comfort, while the hideous form they created should keep others from getting close to her. As a result insulting her appearance hurts her more than one would think, as she even had started crying before after hearing other angels make jokes about her hideous form. Of course she´d never admit that unless caught crying.

HISTORY:

Benicia de Angelis, was born in 1292 in Florence. So yes indeed, she was born a human. The daughter of the renowned doctor Faustus/Faust de Angelis, yet without a mother due to said parent dying upon giving birth to her. Her father however did his best to raise her as a productive member of society, enabling her to grow up in a good household with little issues. Benicia herself had been known for her soft and kind nature since her early childhood, caring for other children and helping them however she could, even if it meant coming short on something instead of the people she helped. Yet it never really seemed to bother the young girl and she kept up aiding people even throughout her more difficult puberty.

At home however, Benicia usually took care of all the chores, while spending her free time learning about medicine with her dad. It was not a piece of cake, but as soon as she could she just had to start helping him, otherwise what good would she be for her dad? Mother wasn´t here and the grown man never had learnt how to cook a soup in his entire life. As a result Benicia used her popularity with the people in order to get the owner of a nearby restaurant to teach her how to cook, so she could prepare good meals for her father and herself. Benicia even picked up on the languages from other countries merchants, studying with them whenever she found the time. That allowed her to speak four languages, when she was just twelve years old. Italian, English, German and French! Of course she wasn´t perfect at them, she probably didn´t really know how to speak it well, but she WAS able to communicate with the merchants, when she tried to.

As a result she also helped her father with his medical studies if she could, although he spoke most of these languages himself and a lot better of course. Yet this at least enabled her to improve herself over the years. Well as things went, Benicia grew up to be a beautiful woman, known for her gentleness and helping nature. While not exactly sure on how to react to young men suddenly approaching her with explicit interest, she could not deny that she welcomed the approaches of some of them, as she had never really been considered a woman before. Her father had always treated her like his little precious and wouldn´t stop to do so even now that she was fifteen years old. And of course even though he was a doctor, she hadn´t been able to come to him with her genders typical issues, having to deal with them on her own, studying books and asking the cities women for help when she just didn´t know what to do.

However, when Benicia had passed her sixteenth birthday, her father introduced her to Antonio de Capio, the son of a Venetian merchant who happened to be an old acquaintance of Faust. The man hardly made his interest in her a secret and just one month after meeting him, Benicia couldn´t deny having mutual feelings for the handsome young man. As a result and as intended, the two of them married about two months after the agreement, yet Antonio took over her family name due to its better reputation and to boost his fathers and his own business. About one year after the marriage, Benicia became pregnant with her husband’s child. Yet due to different circumstances causing his business to break down, the man denied having fathered the child and left the country two weeks after receiving the news. Desperate and in tears, Benicia tried to seek out her father´s help, who naturally wasn´t all too happy about the horrible development of the marriage. Yet having a set and substantial income, the two of them managed as they did before, when Benicia had still been a child herself.

Yet… it should never be the way it was before. Strictly speaking it was an accident, yet Benicia still blames herself for the stupid mistake she had made that day. Walking down the stairs from the church, the highly pregnant woman had tripped, falling over right at a corner point, where the sharp steel-fence decorated the “holy” stairs.
As she tripped however Benicia turned during her fall in order to protect her child, which brought her body in a position that caused the fence behind her to pierce her shoulders, wherein her right lung also got pierced. The alternative would have been falling down on her belly… most likely using the child, yet like this the fence had caught her weight before she could even fall down entirely. Of course the people around her tried to help her, knowing and adoring the young woman almost their entire life, yet they had lacked the knowledge to do so. As a result they contacted Benicia’s father who arrived shortly after, only to receive his daughter’s last words:”Please… save my child…” And so he cut it out of his daughters dying body, killing her in the process.

Yet it wasn´t the end. Not for her… being born again as an angel due to her selfless life, Benicia de Angelis had been resurrected as an Angel… a protector, a watchman of the archangel of hope, Ramiel. Using her newfound abilities, she kept watch over her father and child… only to be mortified by the fact that her offspring had died only two days after her own demise. Weeping and torn apart by the pain of her stupid mistake of tripping killing both her and her child, as well as the sheer grief of never being able to see her daughter’s future, caused her angelic form to tear itself down, enveloping Benicia in a shroud of sharp, thorny tendrils. The punishment she had bestowed upon herself, to forever mark her for the unredeemable mistake she had made.

Only time could sooth her grieving… and only the work she had to do as the great angels handmaiden could distract her from it. And sooner or later, time started to lose its meaning… and the one thing that kept her going on and on until she had cured herself with his strength, was always by her side. Ramiel… the archangel of hope… and yes indeed, he was the only one who could sow the seeds of hope even in her torn heart.
And she would be forever… greatful to him.

SKILLS:

- Eye of the mind: This ability allows Benicia to feel the presence of demons, angels or mortals within her proximity. The closer they are the easier it is for her to pinpoint their location. This ability derives mostly from her being a Gregori, who are meant to keep watch. Naturally she can differ between demons, angels, ritualists and mortals with relative ease when talking to them.

- Wrapped in tendrils: Her body is clad in tendrils which she can also extend and utilize like limbs. To her they also replace armor or weapons, usually utilized by angels in their angelic forms, as these tendrils are on par to most angelic equipment in durability. So using up to ten tendrils for whatever purpose is absolutely possible for her.

- Going unnoticed: This state too derives from her nature as a Gregori and allows her to wander around without being noticed unless somebody she walks past is actively looking for her. It is much less invisibility as just a way of being ignored by her surroundings unless she actively interferes with it or unless the people surrounding her are looking for her specifically.

- Sewing: This skill derives mostly from experience. Benicia got so used to her superior Ramiel, messing up his clothes that she became extremely skilled at sewing and fixing holes in clothing over the century. She could literally repair a completely bullet-ridden cloak within a minute. She doesn´t really know if her archangel even knows it´s her who repairs his stuff. So far he never spoke to her about it, she simply received his clothes and had to fix them.

- Smiting: A skill she adopted for the same reason she learnt to sew. Fixing Ramiels stuff. No matter what kind of metal he messes up, be it armor, weapon or anything else, she is the one correcting it, hammering the bent metal back into shape so it won´t twitch and hurt the poor ol´Archangel. Not that she´d ever complain, there´s no problem with her taking care of his stuff.

- Telekinetic flight: Well yes, due to her lack of wings she found another way to fly, using her Gear in an altered way to allow herself to fly around as she sees fit. It effectively allows her to fly with about 450mph. Naturally this fucks a bit with gravity since her position during flight matters little as long as she sees where she´s headed.

- Whispering: It’s her innate ability to calm down people by talking to them. In other words if somebody is really, really angry, she can calm the person down with her extremely soothing voice, if said person is at least a tiny little bit willing to calm down. It is one of the major reasons why she became Ramiels handmaiden, as the Archangels rage has remained as infamous as ever.

- Secretary: Yes, she also keeps track of Ramiels arrangements, meetings and missions and helps him in organizing plans and what not else, if so desired. Usually however it mainly consists of daily routines and meetings with other Archangels as well as similar arrangements.

- Doing chores: That too yes, she takes care of all the chores in Ramiels household. This includes doing the washing up, cleaning the house, preparing food and so on and so forth. Partially it´s just for the archangels comfort, but either way it should be done. And hey… who else can claim to get their hands on archangels undies at least once a week? Also the fact she had to do chores as a human every day kind of made the role fit for her.

- Outdated medical knowledge: This skill also derives from her human life, where she was instructed on the basics of herbal arts as well as dogmatic practices of surgery and medicine. Naturally she can adopt her herbal knowledge to given situations, although 50% of this knowledge are either placebo or just not functional. Also... don´t let her drill a hole in your skull for medical purposes. Just don´t.


WEAKNESSES:

- Not really strong: Yep, she can hardly lift more than an athletic man. More than 300 ibs aren´t possible to her, in terms of physical strength alone. As a result she sometimes is in need of help when lifting without fucking destroying things utterly, is needed.

- Young: Compared to other angels or demons she is extremely young, not even a millennium old. As a result she has little knowledge on some of the older grudges or enemies and can only identify archdemons by their immense power. However she´d be unable to identify which archdemon is who. Naturally she is also often not taken seriously by other angels for that reason.

- Relatively low stamina: Self explanatory. She has very low stamina for an angel and can fight on par with a fit human if anything, when it comes to sheer longevity of said fight. In other words, the more she uses her body, the more likely she´s going to be overwhelmed. This is a negative trait deriving from her Grigori nature.

- Protective: She treasures the lives of others more than her own. Naturally this can go so far as to aim to preserve someone else’s life in exchange for her own. It also leads her to sometimes making irrational decisions, although that only happens on very rare occasions.

- Eat or die: She doesn´t allow compromises, either somebody stops doing evil deeds, or that person gets punished where it stands. Depending on the severity of the deed, she´d punish between a good spanking and outright killing. In other words, she is a horrible, horrible diplomat.

- Self confidence: Considering herself rather powerful, she had a tendency to underestimate her opponents. Even though there is a certain degree of reason behind that self confidence, it sometimes can cause her to challenge stronger opponents without really thinking about it, merely because she considers herself capable of dealing with it.

- Chosen pain: Other than most Grigori, she actually can feel pain, however due to her angelic from suffering vast amounts of pain; she learnt to suppress that pain. At times however the physical strain on her body becomes too much and further reduces her already low stamina due to the pain caused by her own body.
