DESCRIPTION:
– Brazenly lifted from a pawn shop several days after his arrival in Washington D.C., Marcus christened this sword New Horizons in commemoration of the wide spectrum of fresh opportunities he would later come to find in the nation’s capital. Taking the form of a Japanese nōdachi, it measures in at a total length of 60 inches—including the handle, which is wrapped in purple cotton—and comes set with a full tang blade made from a type of carbon steel commonly found in blades that are sold in exotic home decor shops. Or pawn shops, as was the case with this weapon.

When examined thoroughly, there is nothing special about New Horizons. From its carbon steel blade to the wrapped handle it’s mounted inside, it fails to stand out or distinguish itself from other swords of its kind. Its capacity for wounding is explicitly limited to things of a fleshy nature, consequently restricting the types of opponents which Marcus can use it against. For the most part, it will only ever get the chance to taste human blood. Under most circumstances which require him to arm himself with a weapon, New Horizons will be the first thing Marcus reaches for unless his opposition proves themselves worth evoking his Amalgam instead, such as a Demon Hunter or another Ritualist.

– An odd-looking, ten-inch Balisong knife made in black titanium for a sophisticated finish. Named as an homage to the letter opener he used to grievously injure the Ghost, the hired assassin of the now-defunct Broadway Archkings, in spite of the fact that he failed to actually terminate his life. Stolen in tandem alongside his nōdachi, New Horizons, Ghost Killer sets itself apart from its larger companion in that its titanium blade allows it to endure heavier combat conditions, and as such can withstand more punishment. Well balanced and exceptionally sharp for its size, it behaves as Marcus' ace in the hole, for when all of his other tricks have been exhausted before he is forced to resort to using his Amalgams.

– A small glass pipe obviously used for the smoking of various substances, normally cannabis, appropriately dubbed Emerald Meltdown for one reason, and an appropriate one at that: the inside of the pipe is filled with a phosphorescent fluid that, when exposed to sufficient quantities of light, allows the piece to glow in the dark for as long as an hour-and-a-half. Marcus literally stumbled on this little treasure in an alley situated behind a tavern, carelessly left there by its previous owner, where he cheerfully picked it up and never hesitated to keep it.
