OVERVIEW:
- A product of D’Angelo’s own design and willed into existence by his own conceptual awareness, Espiatorio is truly a weapon unique to the holy-bound demon. On the exterior, Espiatorio appears as an enlarged and heavily tailored 6-shot, single-action .45 Long Colt. Larger than its base model, this particular revolver seems almost unrealistic to the touch, as its large frame makes it almost uncomfortable for anyone to use in a realistic fashion. However, as its creator and master, D’Angelo can wield such a large weapon with relative ease and to the same level of perfection as the smaller models. Along both its flats, two identical, glacial golden anchor-esque motifs reside, course and finely crafted, an indication to D’Angelo’s taste in antiquities. While lavish and soft on the eyes, they are complimented by twin crosses, both just as prodigal edging near the barrel chamber of the gun itself; a testament to D’Angelo’s devotion to the lord. On appearance alone, it seems the gun is used for novelty and charm alone; however, its purpose is much more menacing.

This revolver, however, doesn’t boost near identical mechanics as its genuine counterpart. A product of D’Angelo’s soul and power, this weapon can’t be destroyed; however, if it were to be dissembled, one would notice that it’s simply filled with raw energy, the embodiment of the demon’s power. Linked to the Demon on a more intimate level, being creator and weapon, it cannot be wielded by another; if someone else attempted to wield it, the weapon’s mass would exaggerate, making it extremely heavy. Nonetheless, even with the added mass, it doesn’t damage the environment around it; as such, its “fail safe” measures aren’t nearly as appreciable as other weapons.

Not firing standardized bullets, or even custom advance rounds adopted by modern science, this weapon functions purely on energy. Forming immediately within its chambers, condensed electrical energy solidifies and takes on the shape of each round; this process is instantaneous and doesn’t hinder D’Angelo in the slightest. When fired, the “bullets” can move roughly 150 meters out before dissolving and when impact is made with an opposing object or force, they deal strong concussive force, enabling effects such as strong knock backs and surface burns to skin. If enough bullets are dealt to one location, or a single shot is fired to an exposed area or weakness, penetrative damage can accrue. Swift-moving, the bullets travel at identical speeds to actual bullets, making them both resourceful and lethal. After a single bullet is used, the gun, willed by D’Angelo promptly replenishes the depleted energy, forming a new “shell” for successive use; the gun can be fired in rapid succession.
