#3 - VIGILANT IN THE VATICAN - SIGN-UP (CLOSED)

VIGILANT IN THE VATICAN

BRIEFING
- This mission paves the way for an upcoming separate plot thread to the main one, but one of no lesser importance: The Templar-Ritualist war.
- Ritualists, under the control of the NPC Reis Arakaki, have infiltrated into the Vatican City, and are assaulting the Templar stronghold at St. Peter's Basilica. Their mission objectives? Simple. Raise Hell in any way, shape, or form. Their explicit directive is to reach Templar Grandmaster Amadeus Edge who is currently consulting with Templar Paladin Tatyana Vladimirovna, and from there, attempt to either capture or execute him. This mission can of course go any of two ways, but the expectation will be, irrespective of losses sustained, that Paladin Vladimirovna and Grandmaster Edge will remain alive to sustain the Templar effort.
- Ritualists will split off into groups of around 3-5 to each try and separately reach the Grandmaster and the Paladin.
- Irrespective of what happens, this will set the spark to the powder keg for a long-awaited bloody war between the Templars and the Ritualists.
- NPC Templars (the defense force will be about 40-strong including PCs, with obvious reinforcements in a Templar stronghold) and NPC Ritualists (the insurgency force will be about 20-strong including PCs) will be present, but not controlled by an NPC account, instead controlled by players at their own discretion.

CHARACTER LIMIT
- 6 Templar characters including myself (as Damon T. Ruger), Vi (as Tatyana Vladimirovna) and Hunter (as Amadeus Edge).
- 6 Ritualist characters including Alastor (as NPC Reis Arakaki, controlled by Eris).
- One character (on each team) per person, though if you request the a spot and conflict with someone else when already in possession of a spot for the other team, the other individual will get the benefit of the doubt.

CHARACTER REQUIREMENT
- Your character MUST be either a Templar or a Ritualist.
- If a Templar, your character MUST be present as a guard for the meeting or typically stationed in the Basilica.
- If a Ritualist, your character MUST have some form of vendetta against the Templars, or just an inclination towards causing chaos in general.

RULES
- First come first serve.
- The opening will have a post order that shouldn't be violated - however, between that and the ending, this event is entirely free-for-all.
- This mission will aim to begin on the 5th of July.

REWARDS
- 20 points plus all points gained inside event from IC posting. An extra 10 points for the supposed "winning" side.
- Criteria for success for Ritualists: simply reaching Amadeus Edge without the death of Reis Arakaki, irrespective of what happens next.
- Criteria for success for Templars: executing Reis Arakaki prior to the Ritualists' reaching the Grandmaster.
